In an episode surrounding the "aftermath" of the Shishitoren vs. Bofurin battle...Umemiya would rather make it an "after...PARTY!" I am in LOVE with how this episode took the results and still managed to build upon it. I just can gush and gush about this episode, so let's break it down, y'all!

Also, yeah, YIKES on lemon juice…Umemiya, you got a masochistic kink, sir? The anime clearly loves animating Togame in all his multi-faceted glory! Umemiya and Sakura’s scenes in this episode were so fun to watch and break down! Umemiya being so fun and Choji being chaotic and Sakura and Togame having to deal with it. I love how multi-shipworthy this series is! The bread went through as much trauma as Choji and Togame! XD I love it, though! Ahhh, that’s good to know the cactus bakery has been brought up previously! I love that continuity throughout this! Suo will NOT stand to be an inch out of line or ruffled! XD I love that Sakura cannot escape the Bofurin Carebear Stare! 😛I love how the chaos just flows free with Bofurin and Sakura’s just caught up in it all. And yes, he grew a liking to Togame! I love it! Nirei is the most supportive bean and I love him for it – it’s so cute how Sakura is amazed he’s gained so many friends so fast! Yes, the idea of the conversation is so great in this series and I love Umemiya’s confidence! I think it's also to make sure the viewers are understanding what the characters had picked up from the shishitoren arc too Umemiya in the OP forcing us to get our vitamins and I just realized it too, umemiya isn't fighting in the OP huh I agree, it's funny that Umemiya shooed the Shishitoren members off their own turf, telling them to go home lol and yeah Japanese pub food is so good... huh for burdock I think I've only had it as an ingredient to soup and not as something to actually eat... Yikes at Umemiya wanting to spray lemon juice with his hands/knuckles in that condition... I also can't believe umemiya and Sakura fought their battles in shoes with no socks on... Togame is now full of puppy turtle eyes... an anime darling with the ability to look both hot and like a sad fluffy puppy turtle and i like how umemiya's voice deepens and softens whenever he shows his sincerity and senses they need something less joking It's interesting that Umemiya is letting Sakura decide, I agree that it's his way of testing Sakura's future leadership skills and also to know more about Sakura as a person outside of the fights. Sakura... he can fight well and can trash talk his opponents but he's not a malicious or sadistic guy at all! I feel like the episode title "dialogue" fits, but also the previous episode title (Umemiya's style) also fits. ep10 feels like an extension of umemiya's style, where previously you saw the fighting style and now it's more explicitly about the leadership style. Umemiya's also got such an intense staredown... lol TogaSaku having the same confused face while Choji happily rolls along with Umemiya's food loving comments i think what umemiya said is true... some things are always around us and we take them for granted, only realizing their importance after they are gone Choji flopping down feels like a weight was lifted off high shoulder! it's nice to see him happy again though I lowkey worried about his head landing in that puddle behind him lol the Togachoji ship gives off the hyper sunshine bunny and calm shadow protector turtle vibes, while the TogaSaku ship is like a flustered cat with an endeared turtle lol, different dynamics, but I like both of them very much! Yeah that bread.... he had that in his pocket the whole time... poor bread went through so much trauma...🫢 the metaphor of the bun still being sweet even after going through so much is heartwarming, and then the way they split the bread in half like how they'll find a way to the solution together... 😭 and then the FMA rain moment ahhhh at least this time it's happy tears 😭 welcome back! btw the saboten/cactus bakery has actually been mentioned before. back in ep 2, Sakura saved Nirei and then he started munching on bread. Nirei got distracted and told him that the bread from saboten bakery is good even when it's cold, then remembered they were supposed to head to Furin lol, it's fun to see the bread brought up again here (albeit in a much rougher shape than the one Sakura was eating XD) LOL umemiya got attacked by a feral vampire! while Suo was untouched in elegance and grace 😊 and of course, all aboard the rainbow train... poor Sakura can't escape! Sakura just got slammed to the ground a few hours ago and now he's getting slammed to the couch 😂 Sakura is so honest and funny, feeling down about not being able to hear voices from his fist while suo and nirei teams up to tease him that whole chaos from shipper umemiya was funny too, the unexpected poison mist attack and then sugi getting angry cuz his idol got burnt while suo had the time of his life Sakura, did you grow a liking to Togame? 😉😉😉 I didn't hear a denial of any sort Nirei is a supportive bean and the leader of the Sakura defender squad! it's hard to imagine that 10 eps in with so much happening but in-universe it's only been 3 days 🤯 you've already got people supporting you Sakura, don't be down! I like the idea that in order to have a conversation (both with and without the fist), you have to confront and want to know someone, to face them and try to understand them, even though it doesn't mean you have to accept everything they say. But to converse WITH someone involves wanting to know that person too, otherwise it would just be talking AT them. the confidence umemiya, the confidence! i like your discussion on leadership! umemiya has the confidence to be the leader and the conviction to not lose, but he did not gain this confidence from pushing other people's confidence down. instead he brings them up as well, which I really like. As you've mentioned, even though he's challenged Sakura, he also encourages him! the overlaps of "you can become anything" and "you'll become what you want to be" was so sweet Sakura is so honest lol "if i become leader that means you've lost! (and you said you're not going to lost)" Sakura does not know the concept of graduation /j sugi is just getting steadily more pissed off throughout this episode 😅 i like how in the end, kotoha isn't saying "don't fight" but rather "don't fight HERE"! the boss lady is here!

2025-12-31 04:10:04 +0000 UTCAftercare is so nice, allows a nice time to breathe, heal, and reflect after the fight lol I did not get into wind breaker expecting a Hiragi harem just like how Hiragi didn't try to get a harem, the harem just came to him lmfao poor Sasaki could've really waited inside, the cafe didn't look that busy anyway lol I like how Ume is not imposing his own belief on others, but it is a conversation where he tries to understand how others think. and so by asking Sakura to make a choice, he's also getting a feel of how Sakura acts in a leadership position (he is adorable)

This was such an engaging episode. 🥰 I was so pleased with this choice overall: rather than move on from the fights (as they could have with the ending of episode 9) – they instead have an entire episode of, essentially, aftercare. I adore it! Making sure everyone has walked away from what has happened during the last few episodes with the most accurate conclusions they can. 🥰 Various other things I loved: Your growing Hiragi harem is a delight Poor Sugi and his on-going very bad day – he brings me so much joy 🥰 That most beaten up and smooshed little bun that ever was so very symbolic 😆 Sakura ‘not being allowed to leave this BL train’ 😆 Poor bean Sasaki waiting as angstily as he could manage “Sakura looks like a cat who got a cucumber thrown in front of them” 🤣 Really excellent discussion around Ume’s leadership style and trying to help Sakura understand what happened. I also love most of all that Ume asked Sakura to make a choice – the right approach to building someone’s capability, I feel. And Sakura’s decision about Togame being ‘Don’t do lame stuff! Ever again! You hear me?!’ is the most adorable way he could have gone about confronting everything he learned and felt about Togame during this whole ordeal. Thank you, oxygen! 😆 Cannot wait for next week! 🌸

2025-12-28 10:09:17 +0000 UTCI was so looking forward to the little picnic that Umemiya asks for after all the fights. It's such a nice moment that tells you so much about Umemiya. To me, Umemiya telling Sakura to be the one to decide on what should be Togame's punishment is a moment that Umemiya uses to help Sakura understand. Sakura was wondering how can they all eat together as if nothing happened after those intense fights, and maybe Umemiya saw it in his face, and this was his way to make him understand, by making him think about it, consider it, and come up with a punishment for them; and while doing that, Sakura was able to realize that he didn't, in fact, want to punish Togame, because as Umemiya makes him realize later on, he likes and understand where he was coming from, and thus decides in a very tame punishment while also realizing, I think, that he share a meal with them after everything because he understands them now. It strikes me as something Umemiya would do, use that as a teachable moment, and I think he has the emotional intelligence to see it in Sakura. Not to say that I don't love your interpretation of it, and I even think that both things might have been at play there. Sakura been so innocent is adorable, and something that I love for him as the protagonist. Look, while I can understand why people would ship Togame and Sakura, to me, Togame and Choji are endgame; and after seeing them interact in this episode I have no doubt of that. They're both so precious. Suo returning pristine to Kotoha's cafe after the fight is hilarious. Oh! I hadn't caught that Kotoha was doing homework in that scene! That's such a nice detail to know. I wonder if she is in some kind of homeschool-remote school program that allows her to study at her own pace while she tends to the cafe... and if she is, if maybe it's the same program that Bofurin is in it, because I have yet to see a single teacher in that school xD Maybe they all just make homework whenever they can and that's all they need to do, lol.
