In this special "final" episode of Season 7, Natsume gets a vacation as our focus is on a past event with Natori and Matoba that potentially shaped both their futures in deeper ways than could be fathomed on the surface!
Midorikawa certainly is playing a LONG game with this fandom, as she reveals plot points that have shaped these characters at their core this late in the game, and has me BEYOND excited for what's in store down the road once Season 8 is ready...

It’s been one of the longer journeys with a show I’ve been on, so it feels very surreal to being caught up! And THANK YOU! For being here the entire time, that is so awesome - I have really enjoyed your comments - they are not silly! Floor has been such a great moderator for this series and I’ve been so thankful for their continued support as well! This series IS a GIFT, indeed! Honestly, Wind Breaker being on the channel now has made me feel so much less upset about being caught up with Natsume! The timing worked out fantastic, honestly! Tomita was a sweetheart; I’m sad at the concept that Natori just distanced from that possible friendship. Baby!Matoba actually is so sweet and breaks my heart a little to see how much he’s changed into the man he is now. Nanase being the most desirable exorcist checks so hard. XD Oh I feel you for the ED and OP choices - honestly, my criteria were my favorite visuals, the song, but also which ED and OP left the most impact on me after the year and a half but all of them are so good - you can mix and match them so much! Thank you! I need to keep reading the manga - it’s going to be a loooooong video, but that’s a good thing!

Thank you for pointing out that information; that’s interesting! Seeing Matoba genuinely smiling is so interesting! And yeah, he’s committing to his “duty” and trying not to let his cards show, but I feel Natori and Natsume makes him drop his guard at times. I agree – Episode 12 is the perfect season finale, but this episode makes me GREEDY! Haha, I definitely hope for a new series in 2027 or 2028 - I’m glad the studio does one series at a time, I suppose, because that lets them focus on it - I’ll be eagerly waiting! I cannot believe we’re almost at the end of this wonderful journey... 1.5+ years of Natsume! 🥺 This has been the longest weekly series I’ve gotten to follow on your channel – thank you for reading all of my silly comments! 🥰 And of course a special thank you to Floor as well – not only for all the effort moderating (and checking my comments), but also being (very importantly) the one who encouraged me to catch up with Natsume ages ago. 🥰 This series has been such a gift in many ways now! And Wind Breaker being a spiritual successor is so sweet to hear and it makes parting with Natsume (for now) a little easier. I really love how the timing has worked out (for my personal emotional wellbeing, tbh 😂). Various things I loved in this episode: Tomita was so polite and sweet. 🥰 I agree, would have hoped Natori could have encouraged/reciprocated that friendship. Baby!Matoba under the table “gathering intel” – sure, sure, bet those canapes had plenty to say. 😂 Nanase being the most desirable exorcist among potential familiars – love it! Thank you for including the OP and ED ranking, it’s fun with tastes being similar but also very different. 😂 For me, season 3 OP takes top spot (because Natsume is in the rain at first and by the end all of the people who care for him are with him for the first time in an OP 🥺), with season 2 as a close second. For ED, I will cheat and say the Ephemeral Bond movie’s ED is my top spot (adore that song so much); but for seasons, it is season 2 again (because of the snow and more people joining Natsume’s walk 🥰). Looking forward to the manga review! 💙

2025-11-20 12:19:29 +0000 UTCAt first, I felt something wrong with Natori's voice in the background story And once I listened Natori's present voice, it feels that ISHIDA fits to voice him I'm glad that ISHIDA Akira is actually getting old! He's now 58 y.o. Though he voiced Kaworu in 2021, he sounds much better to voice the eccentric characters Just a good high schooler like Natori could be a bit difficult for him. It may be part of his acting plan though I really adore Matoba's genuine smile We know it's not completely gone, but he seems to cement those emotions and hide them. Even he hide his emotion from him. Episode 12 makes me feel so appropriate for the finale and this episode makes me want to watch more. Ugggg I hope we can watch the sequel probably in 2027 or 2028. For 2026, the studio has “Jour with watch”. Please〜
