TAKOPI'S ORIGINAL SIN: Episode 4 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*SUPPORTIVE HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

Y'all will have to excuse me ranting this week because as Azuma is struggling between helping his crush and the guilt of association, the layers of his trauma are revealed and his "TRUE" savior is as well!

The questions are: Is that savior too late? Has Shizuka turned heel? Are there ANY realistically compassionate adults in this world? And what is Takopi going to do about all this?! These are valid questions, no?

It was considered a spoiler by the mods as I haven't seen past episode 4 yet, but thank you for the comments!

I dont know if this is considered a spoiler but I guess thank you mods for your diligence if it is but when Junya is talking about buying his girlfriend a ring he then looks at Azuma and points to his face in episode 3 and says you've been wearing these for a long time now on my next paycheck I'll...and we dont get to hear what he says because Azuma's train of thought gets interrupted but I think Junya noticed Azuma's glasses were well beyond expiration and was going to buy him a new glasses.

I want to talk about Junya as well and I think there are several layers to this that go beyond Junya noticing or not. I think Junya wasnt at home to witness exactly how bad it was but he most likely knew that Azuma was struggling. I'll get back to this point. Junya from what we get in this episode grew up under the same kind of pressure that Azuma did but he handled it well from what we see and at the same time chose to leave it behind. For Azuma because his mom created this competitive environment of oh you have to be like your brother it doesnt surprise me that Azuma villainizes his brother even if he's done nothing wrong. If we bring up Sangatsu no lion Kyoko and Rei are classic examples of this. For Azuma he's upset at his brother because everyone expectations are on him and yet he has fun with friends and do all these different things while Azuma himself has to struggle and as he says this to Junya in that scene that he believed that Junya didnt understand him which I dont think is because of Junya not trying to reach out to him but Azuma projecting his insecurities. From the first time we see Junya in episode 3 till now Junya has always been the one to initiate the conversation oh you're outside Azuma with your friends hey I heard what happened at school etc. I think Junya has always tried to talk to Azuma and reached out to him but Azuma has been rejecting him out of his insecurities. The way Junya says Im here for you and just stares as Azuma runs away from him to the bathroom gives me the impression of a big brother who is waiting and saying I want to help you but you have to give me an opening. I think if Junya could have helped Azuma he would have but because Azuma wont communicate and also puts everything on himself to do things perfectly there is a barrier as to where does Junya insert himself into the picture and not to mention Junya is also a powerless entity a 16/17 year old teenager who the most he can do is listen and find an adult figure to help. I think as much as we talk about Shizuka's inaction there is as well an inaction on Azuma's part that needs to be talked about. If someone says hey I think this was the first time Junya stepped up and so he's at fault I think that's fair but I dont think this is the first time I think he has always tried but because Azuma cant see past the insecurities it hasnt gotten anywhere.
