It's been nearly a year since I left the world of Berserk on hiatus but what a perfect time to dive back in as this volume was WILD!
Revelations, Guts at his lowest level, and everyone else having to pull themselves up a level as dangers are lurking to make nearly no place safe, so it seems, as Griffith expands his hand towards conquering the world...and the only option to oppose him seems to be an all-out WAR!

It’s been SUCH a week - I’m keeping up with the news but hopefully the English translation of Volume 43 gets up this year! I agree; Guts hitting rock bottom - his trusty sword that’s always been his go-to, has failed him. And yessss, I LOVE that Farenese has found not only purpose but has come full circle and did a 180 from her character at the start of her arc; it’s great! And Rickert trying to make sense of it all with these new characters AND Silat being like, “Guts?! What are you doing?!” I loooove that we get more with Silat in this! I can imagine there are some that don’t like Mori’s chapters. And honestly, considering the “exact” moment Berserk from Miura ended, I can see why people would want it to stop there…NOW, if it hadn’t been at such an iconic and almost perfect moment, seemingly, would they have those same views? I don’t know. I think the art looks great - I feel you HAVE to go in knowing this is Mori’s Berserk, now, and that even if he ends it with the notes that Miura gave him, there is a lot of Mori in it, and I’m okay with that, honestly. Miura trusted Mori, so we should too! And yessss, the Kushan getting focus like this FINALLY and us seeing more with Silat is so fun! I love that Guts was such an influence on him long ago and now he is coming back around to influence Guts (hopefully…maybe…we’ll see??)! Honestly? I thought there were plot holes during Berserk with Miura’s chapters…and then the further we went along, the more it came back to fill them in. Why would this be any different? I don’t envy Mori; he’s doing a thankless job, to be sure. But fan fic? I mean…”technically,” I guess! Hahah! I agree with your two cents and would put mine right alongside it! I’m excited to see what we get in Volume 44! Just fingers crossed it doesn’t take more than a year to get it! 😀Thank you for the comment!

2025-10-01 01:45:36 +0000 UTCI have got to stop doom scrolling! It’s already been a week! So I was checking and I don’t see the English volume out yet. It may be a few more months. I’ve been lucky previously and had a volume published in October! I absolutely love the direction we are going here! Unfortunately we have to hit rock bottom before we go up! I also like that the other characters get to shine. Especially Farnese! I’ve always loved her. She has earned her place on the battlefield! So I have read comments on other videos and message boards about the Mori chapters. There are some who do not like them! They hold the opinion that Berserk was over with Miura’s death. I’m ok with them feeling that way. In one sense they are right. This is a bit different and I think Mori and Studio Gaga are doing a great job! I think the art has improved a lot! It was a bit rough at first but I think they are getting used to the style, which isn’t easy to draw! Also I like that we are focusing on the Kushan. I love them and Silat is one of my favorite characters. He is a no BS type character, and he has Guts to thank for that. I’ve read some people call this fan fic. Well, I like it and it seems to me to be a good progression of the story. Are there some wholes? Yes, but I think those are being smoothed out the longer we go on. I am hopeful and can’t wait to see where we go next! Mori had big shoes to fill and I think he’s doing a great job. Just my two cents.
