Cherry Magic: Episode 6 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*CONFESSIONAL HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

I was FLOORED by the direction this episode went! I had so many theories of what would go down, but this episode blew them all away! Also, Tsuge has it BADDDDDD -- what's this author and his 30-year-old virgin friend to do?!

We're only at the halfway point but this episode was SO wonderful!

Cherry Magic: Episode 6 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

How did I miss this comment! Apologies! I just love the AOT comparisons - they have stuck with me this series! I love the comparison of Adachi between Kurosawa and Fujisaki as well! That’s a great point to bring up! And yes, the way this series goes through the tropes but doesn’t “waste” time with tropes that don’t contribute to the plot - I love it so much! And Adachi grows as a character and acts on his emotions and progresses the plot?! We love to see it! Bypass the BS! And I just love his confession as well! Happy Pride month, indeed! Thank you for the information with red Rice! That’s good to know! She’s one of us and I love it! I would be wanting to celebrate their relationship as well, haha!! Tsuge and Adachi’s relationship is so wonderful as well; I just love it! Tsuge is a fool in love and I just adore him for the development we’ve had with his character and his snaggle-toothed tsundere delivery man as well! And the TBNF tie-in doesn’t help me loving them! The lead up to their date with Adachi and Kurosawa’s reactions?! ADORABLE! Yessss, I definitely want to read and react to the manga, but I’m not sure how the ‘release’ of that will work - maybe a volume a month after the manga? We shall see… Thank you for the comment and kind words!

The AOT comparison with Kurosawa/Erwin, Adachi/Levi and Fujisaki/Hange made me laugh, but it is a good comparison 😁 What I love when Adachi is considering a relationship with Fujisaki or Kurosawa is that he can only theoretically imagine how it would be with Fujisaki because he doesn't know her well enough, but with Kurosawa Adachi has all these moments he can think back on that show glimpses of Kurosawa's character and personality. Also he lists off a bunch of things about Kurosawa but his gender is the last thing on the list. And this is why I thought you'd enjoy this show: there's no hanging around with other plotlines and instead Adachi realises his own feelings about Kurosawa pretty damn quickly 🥰 Your shock and hope that we'd bypass all the bull that other romance stories like to pull was funny though 😆 The fangirling over Adachi's confession was fantastic too! Such a perfect episode to have to celebrate Pride. I can't remember if any of the other shows you've watched have included red rice but just a little bit of cultural context for Fujisaki planning to eat it that night: red is considered to be a symbolism of happiness in Japan and so the idea of eating red rice (which is just rice with red beans in it) is considered to be a celebratory food. I love that we have a character like Fujisaki who has her fujoshi radar 😆 It's so sweet though that she wants to celebrate such a (visibly minute) change in Kurosawa and Adachi's relationship. I loved your laugh at Adachi's texts to Tsuge about his new book 😆 Feel like it's only right after Tsuge's (mostly) bad advice to Adachi that Adachi is the one to deliver the blow of realisation to Tsuge that he truly is 'a fool in love' [definitely a fool for writing, editing, and publishing a book and not realising once that the main heroine's personality/character was based around his crush 😂]. Even though I've watched this anime a couple of times, Adachi and Kurosawa's phone conversation and their separate reactions always make me grin like a loon. Their nervousness/excitement are both so relatable in such a situation. Yes 100% on Tsuge and Minato giving Kage and Kuga from Saezuru 😁 The age difference between both couples gives them a similar dynamic at times. Romania: You're gonna make me read this manga after, aren't you?! I did start the manga and then the anime was announced so I put it on hold to go into the anime somewhat blind. But after the final episode aired? Yeah I purchased all available volumes and went and read them 😆 There's currently thirteen volumes available in the official English translation; Volume 14 releases this July and Volume 15 releases in January next year. I would recommend the manga, even if it's just to read in your own time.

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! Adachi's confession was *chef's kiss* and I'm sooooo happy we bypassed all the BS! Thank you! And Fujisaki is plotting as we all would be! Rokkaku is so hilarious as a character, too; I love that he's the protagonist of his story, which is funny enough the opposite of Fujisaki's thoughts with putting Adachi and Kurosawa as the "leads" perhaps? Interesting things afoot! But yes, I love this series and I cannot WAIT for episode 7! <3

Loved the reaction and discussion! Have been waiting for this episode - knew you would be delighted with Adachi's confession! “Are we bypassing all the bullshit?!” x5 🤣 Happy days! 🥳 Also love Fujisaki being so gently devious: ‘Would you please talk to Kurosawa about this? 😇’ And yes, Rokkaku thought long and hard and came to the one and only obvious conclusion, of course… he is the centre of the universe! 🤣 So much fun to be had with this series. 🥰 Looking forward to next week! 🍒
