This OVA was so touching and while it left me wanting more...it's not in a bad way! Let's talk about the first of two OVA's for Season 5!

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I have REALLY loved the OVAs for Season 5! Madara not getting his “miracle sake” – poor Nyanko-sensei! XD The “Narhwal Chicken” is definitely not winning any contests for best yokai! I just love Natsume couldn’t resist getting involved! I agree that this ties with the Season 5 finale so well! I loved the message of this OVA for sure! And yes, any insight into Reiko? I will take that IMMEDIATELY! I agree, I think she was checking in on them as well! Excited for next week! The show pulled out the big guns for this OVA – and absolutely agree, I was on tenterhooks waiting for them to pull some nonsense at the end. 😆 Loved Madara whining about not getting that ‘once in a lifetime’ sake. And “Narwhal-chicken.” 😆 Natsume has such a sweet and natural curiosity, he not only wanted to hear and see the process, but also get involved. I think this episode links so well to the season 5 finale – these yokai really wanted to be seen, perceived and understood by Natsume. They were wonderful. And of course, loved getting more insight into Reiko and how she was perceived by others. She is a wonderfully complex character. I like to think that she was checking in on them. 🥰 Looking forward to next week! 💙
