There wasn't a thumbnail I could decide on...so this MADNESS takes the spot! We get a LOT happening in this episode - mainly some more information on Asebi, who's acclimating to the group...or not! But also some discussion about the "food of the Dungeon" that might be needed as we head into the last few episodes of the season!

No cooking this week, as Romania did not feel comfortable with custard or....lamb chops? Let's discuss this episode regardless!

I am glad the mangaka is okay with us giving Laios those labels and attachments! I really like what DM is doing for the OP and ED like the Chainsaw Man series in a way! And yeah..IS MARCILLE GOING TO GO VEGAN!? Time may tell! 😛 Those poor cat scratches - they were visceral this week! And yes, I haven’t given up on H x H yet! I hope to be able to watch it in full one of these days! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

Laios being ADHD / having neurodivergence is something a lot of people notice and latch on to in this show, so it's interesting to hear the mangaka let us know he wasn't actually written as being that - despite so many seeing it, and it's nice the mangaka also is happy to let people see the characters the way they want, and not correct them on it! It's nice to get Asebi in the OP/ED, one of the coolest things about Chainsaw Man for me was that each ED was so unique - and I feel bad for anyone who skips OP/EDs in that series, because they missed out! But just little touches / small changes are very nice too! I didn't realize they were separating Asebi from Laios AND ALSO Marcille in the steam room haha! Yes, she would probably be developing a taste for naked beasts now, haha. Or at least chickens. Also makes you wonder how meal choices go when you invite Falin to dinner now? She is one guest you definitely don't want to offend! Every time I see this episode, those cat scratches trigger me so much! Holy crap, and right across the center of the face. 😱 It is just painful to look at, knowing those scratches will never heal, they scar for life. Cat nails are like the sharpest steak knife you can imagine. But good for them, they have Laios and Marcille to heal the scratches away! I'm glad to hear you haven't written off HxH - definitely stick with it! I look forward to seeing it possibly have reactions or even a summary if not - shame it has a few things like Hisoka that don't age well, but hopefully you can complete it one day!

Well, slightly disappointed that there is no custard or lamb chops this week! I can understand the lamb chops though! If you mess up a rack of lamb, that is a painful loss! 😭 we haven’t had lamb in a while. 😞 I have an easy recipe for steamed eggs in a microwave! This may be up your alley and it’s very easy. Equipment you will need: a bowl for the custard, a pan to put bowl in for water bath. Both should be microwave safe. Ingredients: 2 eggs 1/2 cup water or broth 1/4 tsp salt scallions soy sauce chili oil sesame oil How to cook: Whisk together eggs, salt, and water/broth until combined. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove any clumps. Pour the egg mixture into a heat-safe dish. Use a spoon to remove any air bubbles. Cover with plastic wrap and prick holes in it using a toothpick. For this next step, we are creating a water bath. I used a water boiler to boil water but if you don't have one and only have a microwave, place the egg filled bowl inside a large microwave-safe baking dish. Add tap water to the baking dish until the water surpasses where the egg is inside the bowl, but be careful not to overflow it. Remove the egg-filled bowl (this was a reference point for the amount of water). Microwave the water until it is boiling hot. Remove it from the microwave and carefully place the egg bowl in the center of the baking dish. If you're using a water boiler, you can add the egg bowl inside the baking dish and pour the water into the baking dish, up until it's past where the eggs are. Microwave at 50% power level for 6 minutes. Time may vary with microwaves. Once you see that the eggs are mostly set in the center, carefully remove it from the water bath. Top with sesame oil, soy sauce or coconut aminos, chili oil and scallions. One time a few years ago, he was on a lamb chop kick! Omg! He mastered that and I enjoyed every failure and triumph! Since he mastered them, he has moved on…. Right now he is into food of the Great Depression! 😭 He is into canning stuff currently. He is researching that now. My mom used to do canning. We don’t have room for a bunch of cans! I am not to interested in that but I may have to be soon…. 😡 Too bad we don’t have room for a victory garden! I have always loved all sorts of candied fruit since I was a kid. We used to go to the market (Mexican) and get some. Heck I have to go today for menudo ingredients so I may pick up a few treats for myself! I say almost because Marcille is of course, taken! And yes, Marcille did get hot and bothered by Izutsumi! The whole monster eating thing, opening that sheep fruit was a bit unsettling…. I can see why Marcille didn’t want to eat it. Laois is right about nutrition. Yeah, veal… eh, not to thrilled about that. So about the IRL Dire Wolves that were just revealed in the recent news cycle. I hate to burst the bubble, but, they are just fancy wolves, not Dire Wolves. Dire Wolves were a separate species to grey wolves and so basically looked like wolves because of convergent evolution. They went extinct 13,000 yrs ago! There is no food source for them in this world currently. Wolves and Dire Wolves were only distantly related. It’s like the difference between a saber tooth lion and a mountain lion. They are different in all respects! Was I excited to hear the news? Yes! When I thought about the process they said they used, I was like, it’s just a fancy wolf, not a Dire Wolf! I was a bit disappointed. And it’s going to be the biggest damn designer wolf, where are they going to put them? They are cute though. I feel kinda bad for them.
