This is news to me. I've never really seen anyone hate on Itachi. Unless it was prior to aftermath of Sasuke vs. Itachi, to my recollection I've personally never seen it. He's probably the most loved character in the show.

I think if you’re a strong person and saw the death and destruction he did when he was 4 years old you would strive to prevent war at any cost too. He’s a real one! A true shinobi of the highest caliber.

2025-01-15 04:10:45 +0000 UTCItachi's for sure my favourite character, followed by Nagato. The 2 most loved characters in the fandom for sure. So obviously, I never agreed with the Itachi hate. From what I've seen, it comes down to this: people ask themselves if they'd be capable of killing their own family over issues with the country. But they leave out one very important point, the Uchiha were plotting a coup. If you were aware your family was planning a violent overthrow of the government that'd most likely result in loss of innocent life, I hope you'd value the innocent lives more than your family's. If someone sided with their family, I wouldn't blame them since it's human nature to favour and stay with one's family, but it's definitely more honourable to put your own emotions aside and save as many innocent lives as possible. Itachi did the right thing in my opinion, but because 99% of people wouldn't be able to make that choice people struggle to grapple with his decision

2025-01-15 02:14:25 +0000 UTCdepends. honestly both the village and fugaku were shown to really care about itachi’s abilities and how it can benefit them rather than his own well being. if itachi sided with his clan he would still have to deal with the uchiha wanting more and the guilt of not doing anything to stop it. siding with the village, although isolated him, at least got him free of the pressure even if it also came with a lot of guilt. idk lol, the question is truly impossible to answer. a lot of people just think “i would never do that to my loving family” which wasn’t necessarily the case for itachi. kishimoto really only paints sasuke and his mom as the ones who genuinely care for him but even his mom sided with his dad.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean he would win a fight since so many fights come down to not who is more powerful but who is more intelligent (this is shown by pretty much every single fight Shikamaru has ever been in). But even in this episode Itachi needed power from Naruto and Bee to counter the Planetary Devastation. Remains to be seen if he could have stopped it otherwise.

He understood what pain and hatred and war was and wanted to avoid the death of many and chose to sacrifice the few who would inevitably die if they started a war anyhow.

It's not as if Itachi doesn't have busted hax of his own, but what truly makes him dangerous is his battle IQ. Just as it was emphasized, every jutsu has a weakness that can be exploited and he's able to deduce things like this just moments after witnessing them.

It really makes me wonder what a healthy uninjured Nagato in his prime would be capable of. Dude even took down Naruto & Killer Bee at the same time, without being able to move freely. As much as I like Itachi, I think full potential Nagato could have been almost unstoppable

By absorbing Bee's Chakra cloak he restored himself to normal that's why he appears young and healthy now and much stronger.

His father wanted Itachi to be with him and the clan but its still choose others over his own clan and family. Would you have done the same, betray your own family as well ?
