We also have to remember what Kakashi told Sasuke in OG Naruto even if you get your revenge, you won't have anything in the end and it doesn't end well. So in a way, Sasuke sporadically causing chaos is a butterfly effect for "getting his revenge" on Itachi at the time and Danzo. By living his whole life for revenge and sacrificing everything he now has nothing but his thirst for chaos.

8:56-9:02 ...I know. Keep hanging tough. Glad you both are alright.

I totally appreciated the weasel joke; it was not wasted on me.

Heathclyff

I can't believe he just asked "WhAt iS THe KaMUi" like we haven't seen it already. That's almost like asking "Who is Kakashi, somebody explain it down below, I have no idea"

I think naruto's decisions regarding sasuke hit us as weird because of the time we live in. This is the time in history when we are least bound to the group we are born into, where it is normal to break strong bonds with people in order to pursue our own desires, and where we pathologize certain types of attachments if they get in the way of "self-development". We go to therapy to "debug" our dependencies on others because it hinders personal performance toward self-directed goals. We have that luxury because of how well our basic needs are met by the infrastructure created by previous generations. We can depend on the systems around us rather than people. For the majority of human history, this was not the case. Bonds between people were the most precious things in life. And the idea and reality of depending on other people was a given, and not something seen as "needy". People understood that we need each other, and people took it upon themselves to become better as individuals to perform better for the goals of the tribe/village/etc. Naruto embodies this, and the show is formed around these themes. I have heard the argument that the show is a vehicle for explaining Confucian principles--I have found this to be true. And it has become so beloved because it resonates with people, and feeds something that is missing from their lives today. Obviously, I am generalizing all these points, but you get it.

Fully explaining the kamui would lead to spoilers right now. We can explain later in the war arc. For now let's just call it a space-time manipulation jutsu. Kakashi uses it currently to destroy targets. The larger the target the longer it takes and more chakra it takes to use. For now that explanation is the best I can give without providing spoilers.

im a little late but alot of people don't understand Narutos reason for wanting to save Sasuke. At first, it was just to satisfy his promise to Sakura. Then over time... he realized Sasuke was victimized by the Shinobi world and could relate. He didn't want his friend to keep going through such pain. And thats something that overtakes his desire to become Hokage. It doesn't matter if you or anyone else in this comment section likes Sasuke because Naruto wants to help him be free of a pain that he himself could understand. That's why he is so deadset on it. Its beautiful writing. But people like to make it wierd.

Get ready for EMS Sasuke!

Kamui is just like Milton, a powerful force of nature that engulfs and destroys everything it touches.

P T

Bro I just got power back yesterday from this damn hurricane, this was something nice to look forward to watching

Geo uchiha

Naruto doesn't go back on his word. That is his ninja way, if he breaks from it, then he is not naruto, just like in the speech he gave nagato, meaning the promise he made to sakura must be fulfilled or he is not naruto, therefore he will bring sasuke back... Also, he isn't saying that he is going to accept defeat. He's saying that whatever sas k believes he's saying doesn't matter because Sasuke's goal is maleable, something that can be changed. We have already seen it be twisted to something else...Naruto's ninja way and who he is, cannot. And therefore sasky, saying he was going to kill Naruto, and Naruto, saying, "then we'll both die together", is him saying, regardless of whether you think you can beat me if you push it to the point of me dying, you will already be dead yourself, so we will die together. Because Naruto's will is unchanging and keeps him going and Sasuke's can only change his goal or run out of chakra fighting him which will kill him

It's great to have you guys back brotha! Hopefully we get a damn break from these storms till next season lol. When it comes to Naruto and Sasuke I often think of it as a tale of two brothers and one is just desperate to save the other, regardless of how dark they go. I guess having the hindsight of watching this anime through already just reinforces that, but the struggle is deep. I'm just stoked for the continue rapid growth of Naruto to come. We're just getting warmed up.

Lmaoo every time baris looks at us it trips me out😂😂

Interesting perspective

Cryptic

Hopefully you will get to episode 220 by Friday, for that epic reveal. Can't wait.

P T

Naruto is basically trying to end the cycle of hatred by asking sasuke to take it all on him. But even if sasuke somehow can be redeemed, he can never be a part of the village. He is now an international criminal.

P T

Why are you being annoyed by Sakura? You gotta understand from her perspective that she tried, but acknowledged that she can't do anything against Sasuke. She doesn't possess the power necessary to stop him.

Thunder

Sasuke hates the feelings he gets from being around naruto. He said this during the final valley in Naruto. His feelings distracted him from getting stronger to pursue his brother. He's trying to kill his emotions. He was supposed to learn that it is impossible during the Zabuza fight, but he was knocked out.

It’s just a blessing that y’all are safe frfr!! Welcome back!!

BigWill42

This is the first time we the viewers get the actual name of the technique.

Ppl often forget that Sasuke is the dark path Naruto didnt choose, so he is also saving himself. Almost everyone Naruto defeats share similarities with him. So many things that still gonna happen make all of that so much clearer but ppl dont apply it to Naruto and Sasuke idy. They just didnt watch the same show as I did I guess.

Andre Lima

The point of Naruto isn’t just to save his friend sasuke. He is trying to see if he can neutralize the cycle of hated that he has been destined to do since his sensei bestowed it upon him. If he can do that then he truly can become hokage. That’s why he said “ If I can’t save a friend then I don’t deserve to be hokage”.

Jordan

Yep can't wait for them to react to 4th great Shinobi war!

Edgar Gonzalez

Idc what anyone says, the way Naruto is going about wanting to save Sasuke from going down a deeper path of darkness, to where even he can’t do anything about it, I 💯 respect his determination. He’s willing to give up his dream and plans of being Hokage just for wanting to save his friend, I admire that because that’s an action of being selfless and caring. Another reason why Tsunade herself always left Naruto to deal with Sasuke because even she knew he has a gift that changes others. Look how he handled Gaara when he was evil and going on a killing spree. He changed him, he can do the same for Sasuke. Putting someone before yourself is not exactly something folks would be willing to do. But for Naruto to go that far, shows why he’s worthy of being Hokage and is on my top 10 list of beloved anime main characters. Folks would be willing to give up and toss their friends and others away when shit hits the fan (depending on the situation), but if you believe that person is worthy of a second chance, there’s no harm in going about wanting to help them progress and change their ways if you show them the right path. The only problem here is Madara. He’s the one twisting Sasuke’s perspective and puppeteering him to do what he expects him to do. He’s the problem. Or a big part of it at least.

Good to see you both again. Hope you, your family and friends weren't too set back by the weather events. The Kakashi mask episode is actually more a side story then filler. It was originally drawn by Kishimoto as part of the first offical databook so I would argue its semi-canon. The anime adapted it into a full episode and greatly expanded it with filler padding. Regarding the Kamui technique Kakashi used, its the same one he used to blow off Deidaras arm at the start of Shippuden and teleport away one of his explosions at the end of their fight. As for why it won't work on Madara.... well... lets save that explanation for later

Blarged

Kamui is the Jutsu that Kakashi used to create that little dimensional warp that blew off Deidara's arm. It's also the jutsu that he used to send away that missile that Pain fired at Choji. That's what Kamui is.

Welcome back!

Corey Greening

Sasuke has a goal and he’s focused. Maybe not everything he does is “right” but let him do what he sets out to do. Let him find his own conclusion

HideyoshiC3

You are both right about Sasuke and im glad that you understand his character development !

Andrew Agius

We are glad to have you guys back and thankfully you guys are okay with everything that’s been happening down in Florida!!
