You're right that there's no concrete evidence to confirm my suspicion, but I believe Tsunade—and likely every incoming Hokage—would be thoroughly briefed on village security. It would be a serious risk to overlook Itachi's potential for leaking intel, especially if Sasuke were harmed. A debriefing before taking office would cover critical issues, such as a former ANBU member acting as a double agent within the Akatsuki, which is crucial for village safety. I doubt Tsunade would allow the last Sharingan user (besides Danzo) to leave based solely on trust, and the village elders wouldn't either. As Hokage, she's still accountable to the same standards as any leader. Remember, as a Hokage, she has a reason to know about it; Jiraiya has no reason to know about it since he isn't in charge of village security.

2024-09-06 04:19:01 +0000 UTCi could be wrong but i am still under the impression that tsunade doesnt know because it was never confirmed jiraiya did. plus I thought she was away from the village when it happened and by the time she came back sarutobi was dead ofc and im not sure the elders told her cause i doubt danzo would want to. i think tsunade didn’t declare him rogue because of her love for naruto and sakura and having hope that they’d do what she and jiraiya couldn’t with bringing back an old friend that lost his way.

2024-09-06 04:04:00 +0000 UTCI think Tsunade couldn't declare Sasuke a rogue ninja because Itachi promised to sabotage the village by leaking classified intel to enemy nations if anything happened to his little brother. It is probably likely that Danzo was able to conclude that Itachi died because their spy in the Akatsuki couldn't help prevent or warn about the attack on Konoha. I think if Itachi had remained alive, there's no way Danzo would have declared him a rogue ninja. The threat of an ANBU like Itachi betraying the village would have been too much to risk. However, I think Pain's attack likely would have never happened or at least been mitigated if Itachi had remained alive.

You’re lying!” But i guess it’s the naivety towards one you consider a friend and refuse to really see for what they’re doing. Wait when did he fight team 7? The intro episode? And tbh Sasuke eventually does become powerful, but I do get annoyed at how naive he is also thinking he’s a badass right now. 😒 like Tobi said I’m sure if he wanted to…he could’ve killed him in a split second

2024-08-29 23:25:08 +0000 UTCWell up until this point Sasuke had fought Naruto and team 7 but besides that all his opponents were Akatsuki and Orochimaru. He even fought team 7 because they went after him rather than him targeting them. Them being surprised in this scene is logical because Sasuke attacked someone seemingly unrelated to anything Naruto knows about Sasuke, and to top it all off he was now an Akatsuki despite being their enemy a few weeks before.

It was fluid and showed the skill of the Cloud Ninja in combat with unknowns as well as Naruto's confidence and growth with everything as he was clearly holding back and evaluating while protecting. Damn good intro and teaser for things to come.

But anywaaayyy I agree with you Baris…after a while it starts to get annoying how these two react over Sasuke when they’ve seen what he’s done and have heard what he’s willing and going to do! I forgot what it was in this episode but something about Sasuke annoyed me too! 😂😂 with that said, this next arc is going to be good! “Madara” had a good appearance!

Because of that, the showrunners liked ending the filler arcs with bits of canon story to build hype for the next major arc. You can see it happen a number of times across Shippuden. That's probably why you saw the Danzo scene in filler.

This second act, starting with the kage summit arc, will introduce several new characters, expand the ninja world as you know it, reveal several backstories, and change the direction and theme of the entire show.
