He's right. The rinnegan being part of the sharingan is a retcon. Originally it was a dojutsu passed down by the safe of 6 paths and only accessable by the uzumaki where as the sharingan was accessable by the Uchiha. Whether or not Naruto would get the eyes is a different story but it was intended to be an uzumaki ability hence why Nagato has it. He was at the time a peak uzumaki but later it was decided it's just madara's eyes. I personally don't like the rinnegan being an upgrade to the sharingan but it can't be helped now

Many individuals like citizens and top ninjas knew that Naruto had the 9 tails inside of him which makes him an international target by itself. Plus because Naruto never had the attention of his parents and his upbringing it made Naruto wonder around various parts of the village alone which makes kidnapping him far easier and the emotional toll of it all makes it more likely that he would tap deeper into fox power. Long story short, 3rd hokage is the 2nd worst hokage only succeeded by Tsunade.

The sharingan controls the tailed beasts, rinnegan users can't use all jutsu it was just hagoromo that could do it because he created all jutsu, the rinnegan didn't create tailed beasts, hagoromo used creation of all things to separate the ten tails into 9 parts, any ninja can create and design jutsu from scratch not just rinnegan users, The gedo statue is just the husk of the ten tails leftover from when hagoromo split the beasts, the "6 paths metal" or chakra rods/receivers are simply a jutsu saying they're manipulation is contrived, Rinnegan users exclusively can't use wood style only Madara was able to do it by grafting Hashiramas cells onto his body combining their blood to create 6 paths, Sasuke had the Six Tomoe Rinnegan which granted him the use of his Sharingan and Rinnegan abilities simultaneously (because it's a permanent eye and doesn't shut off he wouldn't be able to switch back to his sharingan and use the specific techniques only in that one eye). Don't know if you knew this or not but each sharingan has a different eye ability in it. Which proves my point. There's a reason Madara switched to his EMS or Rinnegan when using specific techniques.

2024-08-22 06:47:42 +0000 UTCThe Rinnegan definitely has the ability to manipulate and control the tailed beasts. The Rinnegan wielder also can use all jutsus within the show. We don't see the wielder's use the Rinnegan in this manner because they would be unbeatable to everyone except another Rinnegan user. In fact it was the Rinnegan itself that created the tailed beasts. The wielder of the Rinnegan can create and design new jutsu from scratch. So even if the user didn't have jutsu they could easily create one with their own imagination. Gedo statue is form of manipulation as well. The six paths metal is a form of manipulation. The Rinnegan wielder can use wood style which is how Hashirama controlled the tailed beasts along with Senju/uzumaki chakra/jutsu/tools. Nagato is uzumaki, making him a perfect match to absorb their chakra into himself and become a jinchiriki. Which is also something the sage did. I'm also sure you saw near the end of Shippuden with Sasuke. He controlled all the tailed beasts at once and guess what he used to do it, his Rinnegan.

And yes it's true, human beings will never understand one another. They only act in accordance with their own motives and desires. The few that love each other unconditionally are cast aside like tools for something better whether it's a job promotion candidate, another potential partner, a friend, you fucking name it. And then PAIN is reborn and the cycle of hatred continues.

It may be played out as a surprise plot twist, but it's obvious the Rinnegan and Sharingan were initially never intended to have any connections whatsoever. And yes, it used to be different, but how they are the same. As stated in the Manga, "the Rinnegan is the natural progression of the Sharingan". Also, Both Madara and Sasuke used their Sharingan abilities while using the Rennigan. Hell, Madara was able to use his abilities while having no eyes. Anyway, the point is, the two eyes were initially intended to not have connections. But once they did, the writing got shittier, and the plot holes got larger. But we'll talk more once we get there.

By adding senju DNA to Uchiha DNA or vice versa you recreate the full bloodline of the sage of six paths as it was watered down over generations. The rinnegan is technically an entirely new ocular jitsu which is why Madara has to switch between them to use different abilities.

Second, yes the Rinnegan is more powerful than the Sharingan. *Spoilers* However, it becomes irrelevant once the Rinnegan gets retconned to being an another upgrade for the Sharingan.

2024-08-07 07:08:43 +0000 UTCYour question of why the nine tails chakra affected nagato even with his rinnegan, when a sharingan has controlled the nine tails before (SPOILERS Though I think you said Madison doesn't read these): Not every sharingan can control the nine nails. When the Ninetails attacked the leaf, the Uchiha were still around and helped defend the village. Why didn't they control the nine tails? Cuz they're far too weak. There's several people that control the nine tails with their eyes in the story and they're all legendary (rinnegan Sasuke and Madara). And yes the rinnegan is still more powerful, but also keep in mind that nagato right now was extremelyyyyy drained here and he got hit with the nine tails chakra in his real body which is frail. Also remember the nine tails is kind of insane in terms of raw power. He's constantly showing how surprised he is that the nine tails keeps withstanding his attacks while he's trying to capture it. Literally just HALF of it sealed in Naruto was enough to fight against every jinchuriki 1-7 in the war at the same time with limited help from allies after he started working with Naruto.

Spoilers ahead It’s bc Nagato isn’t supposed to have those eyes as they are meant to be an Uchiha evolution of the sharingan, we see Madara and Sasuke one shot tailed beasts later in the series, Madara doing it with one eye and Sasuke putting all of them under genjutsu with one rinnegan.
