He has his friend doesn’t want him doing that knowing what it feels like firsthand. Sasuke is Naruto first friend really and Naruto doesn’t want to give that up. He finally has a family and now it’s breaking apart.

It undoubtedly took hold of something already within Sasuke. The mark has a role to play in his betrayal. The mark's primary purpose is to prepare a vessel for Orochimaru; to what extent it can do that is up for debate, but it is not entirely due to Sasuke. When you get to Boruto, something similar happens where characters act in a way they wouldn't otherwise act were they not under a manipulating agent.
