Kimimaro knows Orochimaru is not a good guy but he is the one who gave him a purpose. From everything we have seen, he was actually treated well by Orochimaru, at least much better than his clan treated him. He found a home with Orochimaru. So I don't call in manipulation at all. At no point did Kimimaro not know what Orochimaru planned to do and how he planned to do it, he wasn't deceived.
