Tenten specifically says that she want's to be a powerful ninja and walk in the footsteps of the legendary kunoichi Tsunade. So yes... people know who she is.

Amazing to me that she noticed light in Sakura's eyes when seeing the healing. I think I was totally clueless when I watched the show the first time around. I didn't pick up on half the stuff that she does. Love the reactions!
