2023-07-01 17:50:48 +0000 UTCAnother fun fact: the symbol was used in many different ancient cultures in asia with different meanings usually to resemble peace or something similar in india, china and japan (primarily a buddhist symbol i think). But other cultures have had it as well besides buddhist influenced nations. Unfortunately the nazis decided to steal it and ruined its cultural significance and history to the rest of the world because they were beyond awful. But yeah a lot of people outside asian nations usually dont know the historical and cultural meaning to the symbols so they changed it to not ya know… piss people off unintentionally. As a jewish person i take no issue or offense in any way with it because i know the historical context of the symbol in that region of the world because of its symbolism in buddhism, it represents their culture and history. The symbol shows up in other animes sometimes like in bleach for example. Anyways ya fun fact lol.

The villains/antagonists are shown, done, and written in a way that makes it so they're NOT traditional villains, simply because they're almost justified in what they do because of what they've been through. And it's told in a way that can make you feel bad and almost sorry for them.
