Weekly (maybe) Update

So, rather than keeping you guys perpetually locked into a state of uncertainty about what I'm working on and when, I figured I'd try out something that might or might not become a regular staple of this page. The Weekly Update.

So, here's what's going on at the moment. A lesson I need to learn every few years is that unfinished tasks take on a kind of psychic weight in your mind. I think of them as psychic anchors. They longer they linger there, the more monumental they become in your skewed perception. I've got a lot of unfinished projects right now in various stages of development. Needless to say, that's a lot of psychic anchors.

I've also got things under contract that need to be finished. So, to give you an idea of what things you should expect to see more of in the near future, here are my priority projects.

Unintended Cultivator Volume 13: UC is really my tentpole project, so it's always right at the top of the pile. Yes, I'm technically working many books ahead of publication, but I'm pretty sure the audio is done for book 8 already. Which means that I'll probably be getting copyedits for book 9 soon, and need to come up with blurbs for books 11 and 12 before too long.

Isekai Terry Aggravating Hero Stuff: People are being held up because this isn't finished yet. So, this is the other thing I must work on regularly.

Isekai Terry 3: I'll probably start this the same day I finish book 2. Ideally, I'll finish this before the end of the year. That way, nobody is being held up by me. At least, that'll be true if and/or when someone decides that we should do a book 4.

Unwillingly Summoned: This is under contract and is supposed to be done by the end of December. So, yeah, I need to finish this.

The scifi-cultivator novella: part of my brain circles the ideas for this thing constantly, and it's like a burr in my side that it isn't done yet.

Literally everything else: When I have time, I'll chip away at them.

Finishing Isekai Terry 2 will remove a lot of that psychic weight that's been kind of dragging me down, as will finishing the novella and Unwillingly Summoned. So, that's what's going on.

In other news, I haven't made any holiday plans yet, but it's possible that I might end up traveling for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. Minimally, I'll take off Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day...Probably...Well, maybe. Listen, statistically, it could happen. If I do wind up traveling, that would disrupt my writing schedule. Once I know for sure, I'll let you know if there will be any predictable gaps in posting.
