Update: Patreon Reducing Quality of Life Again
Added 2025-10-01 17:40:57 +0000 UTCJust an FYI, Patreon is monkeying around with things under the hood and changing things to work less efficiently. So, expect problems like their help center not working, messages not posting, comments not posting, and probably payment issues. I literally have no control over this. I only discovered it because they nerfed a section of my dashboard to make it utterly useless. Just wanted everyone to be aware that these problems might happen.
Also, Patreon is pushing hard for all the creators on here to embrace their recently rolled out "New Creator Page" which, if I'm being honest, looks just terrible, I mean positively awful, for the authors on here. It's pretty clearly designed with podcasters and video content creators in mind. I'm going to resist the change for as long as possible because I think it's terrible. Also, it's because I'm frequently a cranky 80-year-old man who thinks things like, "I liked it the way that it was." But mostly that terrible thing.

The new creator page isn't a recommendation feature. It's a revamped version of this page. The problem is that it's not designed with writers in mind at all. That's why I'm not going to implement it until they force me to do it, because it's going to make your reading experiences even crappier than they already are.
