Brief Update: Real Life Intercedes

This should be a quick one. I missed yesterday, but it wasn't by intention. This weekend didn't go at all as planned. I got a notice from my property management company late last week that a buyer rep was going to be visiting my apartment complex in general, and my apartment specifically, today. That necessitated doing a lot of things that I'd been sort of lazy about and put off. For example, organizing the frankly absurd pile of books that I've accumulated over the last few months and that was literally just sitting in piles in the middle of my living room. Or going through some big plastic bins that I've been telling myself I was going to sort through for like the last year. Or...well, you get the idea. No one thing was that big a deal, but when you throw in the cleaning you only do when strangers will be in your home, it was collectively a lot of work.

Then late Sunday night/early Monday morning rolled around and I got a migraine. Migraines being what they are, it screwed with my sense of time and the two days kind of bled together. I spent all day yesterday thinking that it was still Sunday. So, I didn't write a UC chapter. It wasn't until today that I figured out what was day it actually was, and then I was scrambling to finish all the stuff around my apartment that I still thought I had another day to finish. So, that's the story. Pretty prosaic stuff, but that's life most of the time. Getting through one minor crisis after another brought on entirely by making things a problem for your future self. On the upside, my apartment looks pretty tidy right now. So, silver lining.
