Unscheduled Interruption
Added 2024-06-05 08:00:27 +0000 UTCSo, I'm house-sitting this week. It's not all bad. There's a grill here, and I love grilled food. That being said, it's not fantastic for writing. I'm trying to write on a laptop while sitting at a kitchen table or on a couch. It's messing with the my writing rhythm. The kitchen table isn't ideal because it's just not that comfortable. The table is a little too high, which isn't a problem at first, but my arms and shoulders get tired and tight after a while. The chairs at the table are a little too hard. Fine for sitting down and eating. Less awesome for sitting on for five or six hours. The couch is comfortable enough, but I can't really use a mouse while I'm sitting on it. It turns out, I use my mouse a lot when I'm writing. The trackpad on my laptop is okay, but just okay. It's definitely not great for highlighting things.
None of those issues are disasters by themselves. Obviously, I am getting some writing done. When you add all that stuff up, though, my productivity is down. There are also a lot of distractions and some responsibilities that aren't a part of my normal routine. I am going to try to get back on track, but I also need to devote some time to Isekai Terry. It's under contract and due in about a month. So, if it seems like that's getting more attention that it deserves, it's because I'm on a deadline with it.

2024-06-05 21:14:48 +0000 UTCOh dang, I didnt realize Isekai Terry was popular enough for that. I thought it was "just" a stress release side story to prevent burn out with the main one. Somewhat common to do. Glad to hear its been that successful though. I gotta catch up on it, im a good few chapters behind.
