The inventory looks gorgeous.

Sure can do! There is actually 3 types of slots within two different inventories. The Multigon-type of slot is for general-items. Food, tools, equipment, and other things fit this slot. The Rhombus is for processed resources. These have much bigger stacks than general items and are used in crafting/building. The "Teardrop" slot is for liquids of all kinds. The Inventory screen is separated in two sections, "blue" and "leathery" backpacks. The blue, lighting one is a Subspace Storage. It remains with you even after you die and respawn. The leather backpack is something you can optionally wear on yourself for additional space, it is a piece of clothing, and if you're unfortunate enough to die, it's dropped at the body. The 4 colorful things at the bottom are "currencies" Basic Matter, Refined Matter, Exotic Matter, Dark Matter. These are the most valuable resources in the game, as they allow you to use a device that I could describe as a molecular 3d printer, which allows you to create items in a different way than crafting. Matter is also used to respawn your characters, the more complex they are, the more costly the "deployment" is going to be. If, however, you're broke and don't even have enough Matter to construct yourself a new body, you will have fly around the map as a Consciousness finding the matter and collecting it. It's scattered all around the world, as exploration rewards, collectibles, loot.

i really like it. Can you tell us a little bit about the inventory? I can see 4 types of items and4 types of some sort of "recources" . Is that correct? ;D
