Originating from the lost Chapter Swords of Aphrodite, commanded by Primarch Dorothine Genevieve, the only female descendant of the Emperor, found on the distant planet Aphrodita. The Venus Marines are predominantly female, receiving the Gene Seed and the same process of creation as the Astartes, with the differences being slightly reduced size, increased speed and agility, and the non-sterilization and suppression of their sexual desires.

They are rigorously trained to resist the temptations of Slaanesh while focusing their desires on helping to keep the Astartes' numbers within the Codex parameters. After their reintroduction to the Imperium, some units of Adepta Procreatia serve other Chapters as do the Techmarines and the Apothecary.
