Hey there everyone!
We hope you have had fun with Silent Echo's latest update! We're already working on the next batch of content and today we will share some news with you about what's coming next.
There's also some news about Starwatch!

In the previous update, we talked about improvements we were looking to make to the squad system to give you more control over your adventure at Installation Echo.
The passive squad member system is now fully implemented and will be available in the next update.
On the squad status page, each members will now have a button allowing you to set them as inactive. Inactive squad members will continue to follow you, participate in conversations and generate events as normal, but will not participate in combat encounters. Their portrait will also be greyed out in the status bar.
As we prepare to welcome two new squad members in Chapter 3, we hope this feature will prove useful to the players who feel combat encounters are a bit too cramped.
We've also updated the code related to solo achievements to account for this.
After completion of Chapter 1, there was a short interlude showing the events unfolding at the company's headquarters at the same time.
With the next update, a new interlude will be available, giving further insights on what's happening at HQ while you're dealing with the infestation on site.
We've packed it full with new artworks, new characters, bits of lore and the foreshadowing of even more trouble to come.
A brief note to let you know we're currently working on the first release of Chapter 3 in parallel of update 0.2.4.
Most of the story is now set in stone and we've taken into consideration all of the feedback we've received as of late.
One thing I would like to take a moment to talk about is the new corruption levels coming with the next chapter.
The team is aware there is a strong desire to see full M2F as an option and rest assured that it has been heard, and at the same time we know there are players that would prefer to carry on with the "True Futanari" body they have earned as a result of Corruption 3.
As you've seen in both the fever dream christmas sequence and the most recent encounter with the Icon of Lust as part of Chapter 2's end sequence, there is a bit more than meets the eye and the xeno creatures are certainly making it known. Therefore for Corruption levels 5 and 6, we would like to make them more dynamic in their consequences.
In regards to M2F, you could end up with a situation where you have to choose between getting infected further, or lose junior but escape the consequences of further infection for the time being.
This is a setup we can work with and we feel would give everyone what they want. What do you think about it?
The writer is still working on the content for the next update.
On the more technical side of things, the past few Silent Echo updates have delivered significant enhancements to many gameplay systems (Fast combat, support for more varied skills, technical and performance enhancements, the new passive follower system, etc) and I'm currently planning on taking a moment in the days to come to backport all of these enhancements to Starwatch Academy.
Once this task is complete, the objective is to resume the delivery of beta versions, fix bugs, change things based on beta feedback and finally reach a release milestone.
The team never intended for 0.4.0 to take this long to be completed and I hope we can deliver a new version to you in the weeks to come.
Thanks for sticking with us, and as always, have fun!
