General Update #26

Hello everyone!

We hope you all had a great time with the new year festivities. After a short holiday break, the team is back at work and today we'll talk about the status of Silent Echo's next update and provide some news about Starwatch Academy.

Silent Echo

Fast combat has been fully implemented into the game and can now be enabled from the settings menu. As it stands, it runs turns at 200% speed, which effectively cuts battle time in half.

As the amount of squad members will continue to increase and combat scenarios will equally increase in complexity, we hope this option will satisfy the players that feel combat is now too slow for their taste.

On the topic of squad members, I'm happy to say you will soon be able to recruit Sylvia as an active squad member. Until now, she's been dismissive about it and refused to head out of the security room. In the next update, she will accept to join the squad after you go through the events of the experimental lab.

Unlike Emilia and Victoria who are support type characters, Sylvia is an assault type squad member and a force to be reckoned with. Driven by endless rage and armed with sharp and indesctructible nails she can transform into giant claws, she's sure to clear the path ahead for you, as long as you keep your end of the bargain and keep her well fed.

With all of these changes and the new squad members, we're also looking to do a small balance pass on the squad member's various abilities, most notably for Mecha Lina, who turned out to be a bit behind the others damage wise.

Sexy times

We are almost done implementing all of the planned new sex scenes with a total of scenes to play through.

For Emilia and Ava, the new scenes will become available in the security room after acquiring their new skins hidden around Chapter 2's building.

For Lina, you will most likely not be surprised to learn Sexbot Lina will have a sex scene available, but perhaps you will be surprised to learn Mecha Lina also has one. Now, what kind of wicked thing could you possibly do with a mech...?

Starwatch Academy

It's been a while since we've said anything about Starwatch and many of you have been asking about what's going on with it.

While the team is preparing to return to its development, the Starwatch writer has a few words to say below.

First I'd like to apologize for the lengthy delay on updates, and thank you all for the support for our games that you've shown despite it. Over the past few months, we've seen what has worked and what we made too complex, or too slow in payoff, and will be moving forward with these new lessons in mind. Update 0.4 for Starwatch has been spoken about before, but in the now somewhat distant past. As we return to work on it, our focus is once more going to be on evolving the story and characters of the Academy with the introduction of a mobile player base, and shorter, self-contained expedition arcs.

We've talked about some of the expedition type stuff we have planned for the player and their shiny new cruiser, but we've always been very vague about it in regards to keeping it spoiler-free. That said, since work will be resuming on it shortly, I can peel back the covers on some of the idea's we had for them, like exploring lost labs crawling with escaped experiments looking to expand their numbers, or Indiana Jones-esque treasure hunts that lead to hidden settlements and cursed transformative items.

The cruiser was always intended to be a bit of a deus ex machina for allowing us to cater to various tastes and tropes, as we could neatly section off everything into its own little spaces of the verse. This remains the plan, and the upcoming 0.4 update is aimed at introducing some of these new playgrounds to explore alongside the cruiser. Additionally, the enclosed space of the cruiser gives us the opportunity to delve into tf mods in a way the "sterile" environment of the Academy didn't. We'll be free from the story restrictions on why certain mods can or can't be used, so expect your new home away from home to slowly fill with all manner of kinky and depraved things as the story expands.

This isn't to say that development at the Academy will be on hold while we focus on the cruiser related content. We've already laid important groundwork for full body transformative mods to be explored more and more at the Academy, starting with the maid transformation at the cafe. Irene and Hana both have unfinished stories we want to dwell into further, and who knows how the Cadet will look by the time they reach the conclusion of the rebels interfering with their academy life either?

Finally, I'd like to thank you once more for the patience and support you've shown for the project so far.

Final Word

We hope you're looking forward to 2025 as much as we are. We have a lot planned for it, with more degeneration and sexy times than ever!
