General Update #17

Hello there!

Today we'll share with you some info on Silent Echo's upcoming second chapter.

A technological nightmare

Delving deeper into the facility brings Agent 36 face to face with a working defense AI. Unfortunately for the Agent however, it's already enacting a failsafe protocol, and your presence has done little more than add a bump in the road towards its end goal.

Combat mechs, drones, enemies that can summon reinforcements as well as a range of tactical abilities that begin to mirror and imitate those you'd expect to see on members of your own squad are the flavor of the day in this new area of the facility, at least until the creatures manage to find a way inside.

Additionally, depending on who you brought with you in your squad, your companions each have a different suggestion on how best to proceed with unravelling the mystery of how the facility fell into its current state. Advanced xenobiology labs, high-tech robotics workshops and experimental technologies you really shouldn't mess with are just the tip of the iceberg of how bad it's about to get for Agent 36.

A closer look at the purpose of Installation Echo

The area we're currently working on is the west wing of the new building. In this wing, you will find multiple labs involving Team S and their nanite based products.

If you've learned about Team S in Chapter 1, you'll have the opportunity to have a look at some of their creations, and perhaps find yourself become an experiment if you mess with the wrong equipment or items left there.

Some locations you will be able to visit in the west wing are the Nanite Research Lab, Alix Heikkinen's Office, the Prototype Lab, and a very mysterious Advanced Fabrication Lab.

Any guesses as to what you will find there ...?

Upcoming Polls

Very soon we will post the first poll for Silent Echo, giving you the opportunity to choose one of the items Agent 36 will find in the Prototype Lab.

There will be more polls coming over the next few weeks to give you all an opportunity to make some collective choices. It will be up to you to choose if Agent 36 is sent deeper into the rabbit hole of Installation Echo, or if you will show mercy.
