Hello cadets!
Progress continues on the next version and remains steady. Feature wise, we are almost complete and now focusing our efforts on story and testing.
v0.3.0 beta 1
As most features are now implemented, we will release beta 1 this week. It will cover the conclusion of orientation up to right before the start of free-roam.
As there are still game breaking bugs in free-roam we want to fix, we want to take some extra time to polish it and release Beta 2 with free-roam shortly after.
Patreon store
As you visit the city, you will come across a Castelli store. In the Starwatch universe, Castelli is a well-known elite brand that requires sponsorship to be allowed to enter. As a member of a prestigious family, there is a very high chance you know the password to access the local boutique.
In reality, the password will be made available here on Patreon for all supporters and will be updated from time to time.
This is our way to say thank you to you all for joining us on the journey that is Starwatch Academy. Thanks to your support, we have already been able to spend some extra time here and there on the game.
Clothing Pool
Along with the implementation of the patreon store, we have compiled the results of the clothing pool. I'm happy to announce that the winner for the first oufit to be made available at the store is the cosplay option.
We've been thinking about it and we would like to add an outfit you can use fairly often. As such, we want to make available at the Castelli store two outfits: A japanese schoolgirl outfit and a japanese schoolboy outfit. We will tag the items as uniform compliant which will allow you to use them in academy activities that would otherwise require the standard uniform.
There is no plan for this outfit to have any gameplay impact as it is after all a reward and we do not want it to be a constraint. However we definitely plan to add as a treat a few extra scenes that will trigger if you wear this outfit. We plan to add these scenes in a later version as 0.3.0 is already very packed.
Conclusion
We are doing our best to keep the pace and so far it's going great. Next week we will talk about a pretty interesting topic: jobs.
No seriously, I promise it will actually be interesting ;)
