This month has been tough.
I don't want to talk much about my personal affairs, just mention that I was in bed for about a week after being hit in the leg by shrapnel from a land mine. Nothing serious, can walk normally now, but it cost me time.
On top of that, for 0.10 I had to invent some super-unique mechanics that I hadn't used before... Character sprites that stand in front of the screen and communicate against a static background, like you see on the image above... Yes, like in a regular VN, but animated (breathing)... Never thought I'd waste so much time trying to balance quality and minimal loading lag. If anyone likes how it looks in 0.10, I'll save you a week of experiments, here's what I figured out: recording animation with no lighting effects in png, 20 fps, do 4k shooting, and then compressing to 1920x1080 with Caesium at 100% quality.
And also think about how to make the characters stand on one position, so that low characters like Mary don't look fat like in the picture above =_=
Other than that, I planned to replace the sounds in the game. Found a great compilation of sexy breaths for all occasions, also a couple of new copyright-free songs... But I'm afraid I won't have time to put them in all of the already finished scenes, so maybe this will carry over to 0.11
I usually stop developing a new version when either the length of the code reaches about 1000 lines, or the number of pictures reaches 100-150. This time, though, I wanted to wrap things up at a certain plot point, but on the way to that plot point Mary wanted to do a couple of things that I hadn't originally planned and version 0.10 got a little bigger in scope. As a result, the new version will be 50-100% longer than usual.
I received a warning about not posting images of naked characters in public posts on patreon. I'll have to hide them, making them available only to patrons. Sadley, I can't do a $0 subscription due Patreon rules.
