A shapeshifter like Cathy first has to adapt the appearance of the person by taking sight of the person, like maintaining photographic memory. Then to really become the person, Cathy could try using secondary psychic/telepathic abilities to copy 100% of the person’s mindset, by planting her hand, or a gooey pseudopod limb on either the crown of their head or the whole face. In that way, the person will be knocked out for a couple of hours before having any idea what was going on. Plus, Cathy could recharge her voice box to the actual person who she copied their memory from. This is a way better take on absorption. Or also, Cathy can try to telepathically invade and sleep the person’s brain, only to copy everything of the person, then shift into them seamlessly with 100% of their memory and mindset. Only difference between the real person and the Cathy copy is that the copy shows off some shapechanging and growing abilities, looking humanoid/creature/alien-like, thick or slender of whatever sex of the figure. So again, much better than repeating the skinsuit concept, only to show how unique this story can become.

That sounds absolutely perfect. I always love the domination aspect and want to see them becoming a skin against their will.

I think it would be better to focus on the powers you already established, there's plenty to do with that.

I love the idea of absorption! But I don't think that absorption is a good idea for this comic. You already established that she got the abilities from a radioactive waste and she can transform by imagine it. There is no need for absorption in this one, piling abilities makes no sense, at least for me.

If I am going to be brutally honest. Don't. Regardless of the poll. First on a literal leve, that is NOT a shapeshifter at all. The same way the Body Hopper trope was destroyed by people who wrote them to swap from body to body, instead of possessing them. On a creative level as well, while this is a staple of yours... it is to the point of almost, branding... try something different. What you have thus far and even shown in your other works, you have the talent to master this shape-shifting aspect. Otherwise I fear that you will end up with what I call the Evie Hyde problem; all your work ends up being a carbon copy of the last thing with bits and pieces changed every so slightly. And then in turn will turn some (speculation here) off from your work. And could possibly result in you becoming disinterested with the project and abandoning it.

I would say it’s up to you, but I have to be honest, this seems like you are trying to please everyone. Which in the end Can ruin the vision you had for the story. That and it Can also take away your wish to Continue the story.

It would certainly give her more abilities. BUT if you want this new comic not be or feel connected to the other comics you've done and are currently doing, I would not recommend adding this ability. Just to keep this one Abit different from the rest.
