OOO Been waiting for this one!

Hortense's letter to Scrooge is the same letter Donald got from Della in the comic that first introduced Huey, Dewey, and Louie in 1937. Strictly speaking, Donald isn't emo so much as grunge, what with it being the 90s and all, but they're very similar aesthetics. CAT SIGHTED! It never ceases to amaze how cats can coat every surface in your house in hair and practically give you a new pair of fur gloves every time you touch them, yet they never seem to have any less hair actually attached to them. This show has an... interesting relationship with its anthropomorphic characters. Like, sometimes it's a key plot point that they're ducks, like Donald's stress molting in The Golden Spear or whatever they're doing with that feather they acquired in The Split Sword of Swanstantine, and especially for Della taking the Spear of Selene- leaving her unhatched eggs that she could just stick in an incubator for a few hours while she was flying the rocket says something VERY different about her character than if she'd left actual newborn babies. And then other times they're functionally no different from humans even in situations where they really should be, like using wingsuits rather than flying as birds, or in the very first episode where Scrooge, Donald, and Dewey were all holding onto the chest to stay afloat in the flooding room despite all being waterfowl. Much like with the triplets in the show's regular time period, the twins were really just getting Scrooge BACK into adventuring. Sure, he says NOW that it was all just about building his business, but we've seen flashbacks to his earlier days. At the time, he definitely cared about the adventure just as much as the money. Bradford's lost his hair because a few decades have passed since the cold open. That was during the 60s, but the rest of the episode is in the 90s. It does raise questions about the Christmas party Scrooge recognized Bradford from- that was the "First Annual McDuck Enterprises Christmas Party," and Scrooge said he'd just started his company, yet that was apparently in like the 70s after he'd already become the richest duck in the world- but a cartoon having timeline issues is nothing all that surprising. Heron does villainy for the love of the game. Unfortunately for Bradford, she's sufficiently competent at it that he's stuck with her. Chekhov has loaded another gun.
