I'll come back to this when I finish the episode reaction 🙂 Edit 1: I love that all you needed to put Mother Gothel on the punching bag was literally her introduction as Cassandra's mom 😂 2: If you don't cry at baby Cassandra's reprise, there is something seriously wrong with you 😭 3: Right...she "ran off" from taking care of Cass to take care of Rapunzel...riiiight... 4: Floor time would've been a good idea for me too...and yikes, hope the punching bag didn't hit you on the way down 😅 (and we all hate her) 5: Yup, that about sums it up. 6: No. If we had to cry, so do you. That's how it works 🤷♀️ 7: I can't really blame Cass either. 8: I hate it too. But again, I can't really blame Cass for feeling the way she does. 9: FINALLY YOU GET TO SEE ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS OF THE ENTIRE SERIES!!! 10: They didn't succeed in turning me against Cass either. 11: I swear you and I are the same person. I'm a huge fan of Catra and always felt so bad for her. 12: Nobody wants to put too much faith into Shorty. 13: Because then we wouldn't get the plot of everybody ignoring Cass to the point of stealing the Moonstone lol. Though the hot air balloon would most definitely have been much more efficient. 14: They put all the insufferable characters in this episode to make all of US suffer. 15: They gut punched all of us with Varian's return. (and yes they most definitely failed him by sticking him in a cell with a GROWN ASS MAN) 16: "He's a hurt child who just wants his father back." You hit the nail on the head there, Morgan.

2025-11-05 14:35:44 +0000 UTCI was so excited to see you react to the season 3 premier because I knew how much you were going to feel upset for Cass and the floor time was totally valid, and at the same time I knew youd be so thrilled to see Varian again and the resolution of his poor dad being trapped in the amber for an entire freaking year. I frequently have conversations with my sibling about how messed up it is that the king let Varian be cell mates with a grown adult who obviously groomed him to be used as a tool in his scheme to take over Corona. Having baby varian back helps to make up a little bit for losing Cass in this way. Also, as a hard-core Rapunzel and Eugene fan, I have ro say I sympathize with Cass and Varian so much. My only issue with Cass is that she blames Rapunzel for being kidnapped and Rapunzel was also abused for all those years. If she didnt have to be a villain they could've bonded so much over the shared trauma they have. But Cass is also so valid because she cant put that anger anywhere else, plus shes being manipulated. So excited to see what youll think about the coming episodes! Here's to season 3!

2025-11-01 12:07:26 +0000 UTCBefore Morgan's reactions to Tangled I never realized the overlap with the She-Ra fandom lmao I was gonna say that I wasn't watching either show while they were airing, but based on the fact that Tangled ended in 2019 and She-Ra in 2020, I'm actually not sure if I watched them after they ended or if I watched while they were just close to ending. Either way, I wasn't active in the fandoms of either shows, that I know for sure, so that's also probably why I didn't know about the overlap.

2025-10-29 10:53:09 +0000 UTChalf this episode feels like the writers noticed they fucked around doing nothing for most of s2 so they now had to have a bunch of stuff that was supposed to have already happened happen now, as quickly as possible in 40min like, i love varian and think him being redeemed makes plenty sense, but MANNNNN did they speedrun it. and also his dad getting freed. just add that in the last 2min, sure, that won't mess with the pacing, don't worry. also them getting all the way back to corona in literally one screen. not even a montage, just "they were here and now they're back :)" when ALL OF THE LAST SEASON was them doing that same distance genuinely baffeling anyway haha you're a smurf now

I was shocked by the reveal as well and in retrospect, it was kinda obvious and subtly hinted at throughout the show. We were tricked by a children's show. ):< I think Cassandra had an understandable crashout after learning who her mother was. She was 4 in the flashback because Cassandra states somewhere in like season 1 that she is 4 years older than Rapunzel, so she probably simply forgot and probably never even knew her mother's name. I doubt I knew my mom's name when I was 4. Seeing the scene where the Captain immediately adopt Cassandra always breaks my heart. Also I love the blue hair.

Little bit of a spoiler, but when we get a little further into the season, you’ll understand why so many people want Cassandra’s voice actor to voice Lilith in Hazbin

That's where we for the first time saw a glimpse of how Cassandra's hard work and accomplishments are overlooked because everyone is enamored with Rapunzel despite Rapunzel not trying hard and treating everything as a game. We also got a glimpse at the resentment that, even at that early point, was already started to build against Rapunzel.

When Cassandra begs Rapunzel not to tell anyone how she got her hair back (and more importantly about Cass' involvement in the incident) for fear she'd be sent off to a convent and they'd never see each other again. By the end of the episode Rapunzel tells Eugene anyway. In hindsight Cass showed real vulnerability when she asked Rapunzel to keep that secret, and Rapunzel disregarded that and prioritized Eugene's feelings instead. Nobody ever puts Cassandra first.

Spending ten minutes pinning the face of a stupid B*** to a punching bag, lying on the floor and punching it again and again, yapping and yelling all your feelings and thoughts into the mic, you rock Morgan! That's why we love you. This episode is easily in my top three from the entire show. Crossing The Line is amazing in choreography, lyrics and Eden Espinosa is IN-CRE-DI-BLE, those high notes at the end could have destroyed the bridge even without the sword. Honestly, I don't understand people who would hate on Cassandra. She is acting out of pain and trauma and obviously cannot respond to rational reasoning right now. Much like Varian as you noted. He was also driven by pain and despair but he came around and can we talk about the fact that he F*CKING WANTED TO SACRIFICE HIMSELF????!!!! He literally thought he was too far gone to be forgiven and when given the chance, he would have let himself die with the airship! That catharsis though at the end when he finally got to see his father freed and hear him say he was proud of him...and now Rapunzel also realized that broken bridges can be mended. I think getting Varian back as her friend has given her the hope she needed that her relationship with Cass may not be lost for good.

Edit: Also Varian's hands didn't end up like Cassandra's because their is a theory that he's connected to the Moonstone. Because his father was their when the king tried to distroy the moonstone, and it's possible that small little bit of power transfered to Varian, which is why he got the blue streak in his hair.
