From her perspective it sounded like Lois had a weird parasocial celebrity crush on the guy she interviewed a few times and Cat just wanted to talk her down. Plus when you paused at the end of the scene, you missed the part where Cat said to Lois, "And what you and Kent have is cute. Focus on that."
