Is it just me or is Michael wearing Higgs school uniform - the same as Tori? I thought Higgs was a girls' school.

It means so much to me we got a confirmed nonbinary lesbian and they have a lesbian girlfriend. Sometimes people ask how a nonbinary person could be a lesbian or how a lesbian could date a nonbinary person. The people asking these things aren't always transphobic, they just haven't broken out of viewing the world from its cisheteronormative framework and I love how naturally they simply exist and are accepted by their friends. I am hoping it help people understand nonbinary people more and maybe someone out there might realize they are also nonbinary.

The signing shirt thing is common in the UK and does happen in America as well. Not sure if it's a uniform specific sort of thing because I went to high school in the US where we had uniforms and the seniors also would get people to sign their shirt.

I love the part with Mr. Farouk wishing there was a queer person he could look up to as a child. It made me tear up when I first saw it. In a lot of way, his relationship to Mr. Ajayi sort of parallels Nick and Charlie’s relationship and I just adore that. Also, the video Tao made Elle had me sobbing, it was the sweetest thing ever. It’s been so interesting to watch this season because honestly, the Jane of the show is a lot more relatable and I find myself sympathizing with her at times. The Jane is the comics is so much worse and a lot more passive aggressive so to me, Charlie’s upset in the comics makes more sense. In the show, we are reminded that he’s still a teen who is exploring and testing the boundaries of independence. It’s an interesting dichotomy and perspective. And that was the first time Charlie exposed his arms in front of Nick (or anyone)! He’s coming so far in his body positivity journey! Also, they didn’t teach us safe queer sex in high school either. Granted, I’m in my 20s so hopefully that’s since changed. I think I remember my sex ed course being one class period during Health Class, our parents had to sign permission slips and all the speakers talked about was how sex before marriage was bad and then equivalated STDs to Milky Way bars and told us we wouldn’t want to share our candy so we shouldn’t share that either. It was such a pointless and uninformed lecture. God I hope that class is taught differently these days.

That was a beautiful episode

In the UK yearbooks are not a common thing at all. So, it is very common tradition, particularly as schools typically have uniforms in the UK, to sign shirts. At the end of summer camps etc. this can happen too. Ripping the shirts or ripping the pockets off is common too. As for not everyone having shirts signed in the changing room, not everyone on the rugby team is in their final year of school or sixth form.
