Like Morgan says, Heartstopper is such a great show and it needs to be recognised for so many things. For its LGBTQ+ themes, diverse cast, it’s relatable story themes on being a teenager and on mental illness. Alice Oseman truly is a writer for this generation and we just all have to applaud their great work. 🌈👏 Also as an autistic person, I can understand Morgan’s feelings about other couples intimacy when they’re with friends. Because even though you’re happy for them and wish them well, you still want to feel comfortable being with them while you’re discovering things about your own love life and sexuality. So yeah, totally relate to that Morgan. 💜

It never seems to matter how many times I watch the beginning of this season, I cry every single time. Someone get these men an award, especially Joe for his OUTSTANDING portrayal of someone struggling with mental illness this season. God it’s so well done. And I’m slightly obsessed with the music this season as well. The song Shell that plays in the background when Charlie is trying to take selfies for Nick just has the most fitting lyrics in my opinion “I’m a shell of myself, can you not tell?” It also says something in the lyrics about eating well tomorrow when Charlie is telling Tori he’s not hungry and ugh, it’s just so good. And they’re getting their GCSE results which from my understanding (I am also American) is sort of like our Regents exams or finals. Tori, Elle, Nick, Darcy, and Tara are all going into eleventh grade I believe (American-wise) so they don’t have Uni stuff figured out just yet. I loved that they included Tori being on the blog site because that’s a small nod toward Alice’s first ever foray into this universe with the novel Solitaire. And the line “love can’t cure a mental illness,” is a Sarah line directly from the comics. Sad we didn’t get to see her say them but I think Aunt Diane saying it was just as effective and emotional. Also so so proud of Darcy for blocking that horrible mother. Oo and the song that plays at the end there is a Wasia Project song, Will’s (Tao) band! It’s so nice they have another song being used by the show

Tara did amazing and that is exactly the problem. She was talking about how stressed she is about going into 6th form in the last episode.

New drinking game: Every time Morgan cries, take a sip of water. Don't blame them if you have to go to the WC

Theyve Just done their gcses which is at the end of year 11 so ~16 years old, then they have sixth form also called college which is 2 years before university where they study alevels. Gcses are 1-9 with 4s being the lowest pass grade and 9 the highest.

The highest for UK is 9 so Tara got a perfect score … and 5 is the lowest grade to pass so Nick passed math with the 5

olivia coleman unfortunately couldnt be in this season due to scheduling conflicts which is why you wont see her but she is mentioned quite a few times! the beach scene broke me in the comics but absolutely DESTROYED ME in the tv show, the acting was incredible!!
