Art tip #2: HEADS AND FACES!
Added 2023-12-14 23:09:01 +0000 UTCMade another tutorial type thing! This one is focused on heads and faces. The main takeaway Iβm hoping to get across is to try different things! Experiment!! Try not to get stuck in a FORMULA for drawing faces when making unique charactersβ¦ Always be actively thinking while youβre drawing.
When it comes to expressions, I see a lot of tutorials talking about βpushingβ the expression as far as you canβ¦ this is great advice, but I think it doesnβt take into account the situation the character is in. Sometimes subtle expressions are ideal! When doing subtle expressions, I like to think about the position of the eyebrows, whether theyβre being pushed up or pulled down, turned up in the middle or down towards the eyes.
For face studies, I like using Pinterest and Earthsworld on instagram https://www.instagram.com/earthsworld
HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL!! If you have any other tutorial suggestions, let me know!!
