Patreon payout issues!

some of you may have heard that Patreon switched their payment processor so it messed up a ton of people's backings. they claim to have found the issue and are working towards fixing it: https://twitter.com/PatreonStatus/status/1687147564699926528?s=20

UPDATE: 8/4/23

Got an email from patreon that reads the following:

Hi there,

An issue with a payment partner is causing a slightly higher-than-normal number of your patron payments to be declined by their banks. We've traced the increased declines back to payments system upgrades required by one of our processing partners. Patrons might see some payments declined while changes take effect.

If a patron reaches out to you about a decline, you can advise them to follow these steps:

Contact their card issuer to confirm the charge is valid and retry that card

If the retry does not work, try a different payment method. Patrons can edit their payments in their Settings, under Billing History:

i've also set up a ko-fi membership. it only has 3 tiers (tip jar, $5 art, $10 WIPs) and does NOT include Ride or Die comic pages or NSFW art! everything on there currently is stuff that's already been posted to patreon, so keep that in mind if you want to switch from patreon to ko-fi. i have no plans to disable my patreon! i'm only offering ko-fi as a lesser alternative. thanks all!
