This episode really made me stop and reflect on my journey as a creator. In a lot of ways, I felt I sort of faked it until I made it, pretending I understood narrative undercurrents and symbolism a lot better than I did. I shocked myself while writing this video when I found genuine media analysis flowing like water.
The side effect is, this episode is once again the length of a movie, but what else have you come to expect.

Before you, I had an unofficial pledge to only pay for patreon channels that had reasonably niche content, like growing mushrooms and the like. While it's been an option for the entire time I've been subscribed to your YouTube through the Sly2 GBD's, I patiently waited for each episode to come out and expected of myself to do the same this season. Though Sly2 is my favorite instalment as opposed to Sly3, mastery of a trilogy that has captured my attention, fostered inspiration, and used up quite a bit of my time deserves some basic monetary reimbursement. I'm very excited to watch this video of your analysis of a great Sly 3 episode, and am eager for Dead Men Tell No Tales which is my ultimate favorite episode in Sly3(if not He Who Tames the Iron Horse from 2), so well done sir. You are most deserving of my patreon sub and I hope your channel combined with the new remaster of the sly trilogy on the current consoles get more people into this great series and sparks a whole new generation of Master Thieves.

2025-04-28 21:14:10 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite things I did as a child in the Tsao fight with Sly was to use those charge attacks. Using each attack from level 1, to each from level 2, and finally all level 3. It really gave that sense of escalation of Sly having to pull out all the stops.
