Man I love these manga analyses just as much as the anime ones. Also, "that whole scene was adapted from 4 panels?" How every Frieren fan felt watching the entirety of season 1 lmao. Also every K-ON fan, and any manga that was less detailed than the anime. Just goes to show how a masterful adaptation can elevate the source material and create a whole new experience altogether.

I feel like some people gave it the name "emotional manipulation" just so they could add an unnecessary negative connotation to a core aspects of doing art just to sound profound, when they could have just said "I'm not into shonen manga stuff". They sound so pretentious to me... I don't know...

2026-02-08 23:01:14 +0000 UTCMaaan, I'm at 26:38 and I'm already about to cry... again... the animation of this part of the story BROKE me, I've never been this appalled, amazed and shocked at a single episode of anything before. Off the top of my head: Made in Abyss season 2 finale, THAT (damned) episode of Violet Evergarden and THAT (darn) episode of Clannad are the only things that come close in terms of emotions, but in terms of pure shock value... might be the absolute top to me.
