Meh. I read the manga first and when I saw the anime I was the most disappointed I've ever been in a transposition, no joke. But maybe it's because I really f'ing loved the original artstyle... I don't know. Personally, I rate the manga as a 9 and the anime as a 6. Consider that I have more than 500 series under my belt, and I've given 9 or more only to 3 anime and 2 manga. This should be telling of how much I loved the original... so yeah, I also recognize I'm a bit biased. But whatever... MANGA RULES!!! YEAHHH

I’m struggling with the seasonal depression too. Best I can do is tell you what sometimes helps me. (Unsolicited advice ahead, for you and anyone else in this hole.) Remember that your body can control your mind the same way your mind controls your body. Breathe. Do a single pushup. Now do as many as you can. Maybe feel annoyed because you already know about this advice but someone is telling you what to do as if you don’t; just humor me, it’s as much a reminder for me as it is for you. Now go clean up your facial hair, shower, put on some clean clothes. Cook yourself a healthy, warm meal. Make some tea. Listen to Lateralus. Tidy your space. Stand outside in the dark and let the cold wake you up. Focus on the variables you can control and forgive yourself for not always controlling them, that’s just being human. Also, if you haven’t already, start journaling. Make it messy. Use it for setting goals, planning, fleshing out ideas, doodling, processing your day and your emotions, whatever’s in your head. If nothing comes to mind, always at least write one sentence on something unexpected or unique about the day, there is always something no matter how boring the day is. I thought journaling was lame until it changed my life. Finally, remember that it’s almost always the case that things feel hopeless because you’re depressed, not that you are depressed because things are actually hopeless.

Having a healthy work/life balance is always tough to properly flesh out, especially when it drastically changes. My dollar isn't going anywhere, I'm here for the long haul! In terms of weird Wednesday shows, something like Sonny Boy, To your Eternity, Link Click, Heavenly Delusion, or even Call of the Night. They're all pretty weird or wacky, especially Sonny Boy, I'll be excited for whatever poll is next!

@Silver Bard Games. For me Dungeon Meshi is the perfect fit for Fighto Friday after Vinland. Didn't expect it to be action-packed going in, but delivered several of the best action sequences for 2024. And, it's definitely more comedy than anything else. I would hazard Dandadan is a better fit for Weird Wednesday. The first episode is downright bizarre.

Animiddo and SOS have also been watching it, but aside from those two it really doesn't get enough reactions where the people watching understand that it's satire AND are actually familiar with what it's satirizing.

This schedule doesn't seem to have any slots that fit a lot of the best anime that released in the past couple of years. Oshi no Ko has had two amazing seasons, but it's not comedic enough for the Tuesday slot. Same with Dungeon Meshi. I was hoping Oshi No Ko would have a good chance at winning the next Wednesday poll, but not so much if that slot is getting randomized. The Apothecary Diaries and Pluto are both competing with Frieren for some of the best anime of last year, but they are both dramas. If you are intentionally trying to avoid reacting to dramatic shows because you're feeling bummed, I can sympathize with and respect that, but man I've been dying to hear your thoughts on Oshi no Ko. It seems like it was made for you.

Prison School - for funny Tuesday, maybe you haven't seen it, lot of people write it off as just a fan service show, but it's actually pretty good comedy imo Weird show for Wednesday that would never win a poll? maybe Cromartie High School? Also you could consider Monogatari's latest season at one point.

Sad or tired? My body will straight up lie about which is which sometimes. In either case good luck, you have to start strong with things like this even though it's basically begging the world to smack the neat little plans out of order. This all sounds good, I hope manga readings can resurface one day as well. They were unique. And it's also bias because I've just been reading so much more than watching the past two years. I began to feel there are a lot more interesting comics out there that will never see adaptation than there is original animated works these days.

Its a chinese donghua and such an incredibly underrated show, so unfortunately I dont have much faith in it winning a regular poll LOL. Super fun and emotional. There's two seasons out already and the first episode of the prequel season just aired last week!

on a pure fun perspective, I had fun with Makeine aka Too Many Losing Heroines! I'll recommend that as well as 100 Girlfriends that really really love you for shows for Teehee Tuesdays. On niche and weird..... Bravern (Cygames Pictures)/Ben-to! (David Production before they got more famous for adaptingJojos) just to throw into the hat of the titles maybe? If you feel like going for some girl band stuff, either Girls Band Cry or BanG Dream It's MyGo!!!!! (totally standalone show compared to earlier titles in the series) are pretty solid and I always hope you get to check them out, especially MyGo Hope whichever shows win makes you feel like you have fun watching them just like how you enjoyed Symphogear and not make you feel like it's a chore to finish off the slot. Onwards to the new year!

It seems interesting to see your reaction for bizzare true harem Gintama/Bobobo/One piece that a lot of people that aren't into harems liked, including girls and queer folks ( the more it goes the more polycule family it becomes). If even ANN highlighted it I think it deserves consideration, I believe it was in your poll with Dress-up Darling.

Also recommendation for TeeHee Tuesday has to be Cromartie high imo. It and Golden Boy were the only comedy anime I watched for the longest because of how great the comedy timing was with the dubs from that 2000s era.
