He thought by beating up Subaru that maybe he could get him to choose to loop. Ros doesn't seem to know Subaru has to die otherwise he probably would have killed him lol.

Broken Emilia, her mind shattered giving the dying Subaru her (and his) first kiss, Roswaal's brutal killing of Garf, Beatrice's assassination at the hands of the seemingly invinvible Elsa, the reveal of Maylie... Man, Subaru boldly said "I know hell," and the writer went "Bet."
