I think it's totally fair for people to expect that if they are giving him money for that content. People shouldn't be taking it personally or getting overly angry about it and should chill out, but being a little upset that he wouldn't even make a post about it to explain it is reasonable, I think. I would say that about any episode for any series he skipped, he doesn't even need to go into a bunch of detail, just a heads up to not expect an episode that week would be enough.
