Bit more uplifting than is normal for a penultimate hour for a season of this show. Yeah, one obviously can’t trust Lucy. Hear what you and Mary were saying about how Jack needs to figure shit out for himself and not let Dean talk at him. Love how Dean echoes what you said about Sam’s survival. That big brother hug that he gives Sam is very real. Lucy has the rather interesting sales pitch. Considering how I’d possibly be as a dad, not sure I can talk, but it makes for interesting viewing. Good on Gabriel for bluntly calling Lucy out on his more overt horseshit. Always delightful to see you see Bobby. Mary wanted to stay behind, and respect for Sam for coming up with the compromise. Poor Charlie being in the tight spot. Oh, and Ketch too, I guess. Love how you spoke of he could handle torture. Me, when you see him strung up, I said in the driest unemotional tone, “Stop. Don’t. Let him alone.” Give him half a point with the Monopoly quip. Interesting to see Ronald Lacey meets Laurence Olivier Castiel. Greatly enjoyed your reaction to that fight. When Castiel emerged victorious, I asked, “Feel better?” Love the eye roll at Ketch’s response to Dean saving him, I’d have said, “Stop talking. We’re about to bond; it’ll make me vomit.” Biggest emotional punch was Sam getting Charlie out of the chair, the unspoken weight of saving Charlie hits him, and he gives her that great big hug. That overwhelmed. Loved your own reaction to that. Made me also say that if Mary had yet to meet Charlie, then we have the introductions, “Mary, Charlie, Charlie, Mary.” and just take it in how Mary meets the boys’ sister. Love how everyone is on board with going back. Bobby always has the great scenes, and it warms the heart to see you react to them. Michael showed up when it was looking too easy. Love how you were surprised how Gabriel pulling the You Shall Not Pass move got to you. Hear you on telling the boys to book it. Helps that Michael is shit with booking it. Gabriel did make a good last stand. And he looks dead. I say he looks dead, because you never know with this show. I don’t know, mind you. Love Sam’s refusal to let Lucy get back. They have a nice little house party, which, much though Bobby’s not one for speechifying, he had a good toast. Now Lucy and Michael are in a team. You speak true of one nice thing is, again, can’t trust Lucy. Michael is dumb for not clocking Lucy’s non-answers. See how that goes. Thanks for the fun reaction, Jess.
