Not seen Gen V, and Iโm very behind on The Boys so I canโt speak intelligently on the one point. The way you describe it, combined with the fact that Kripke is involved, it sounds plausible that itโs a deliberate reference, yeah. Or if itโs not on purpose, Kripke likes the style of it, and it ends up serving as an accidental reference. Maybe.

The way they flash in and out of focus, the headache she seems to have, the lack of control? It would make sense, since Kripke created both Supernatural and Gen V, and it wouldn't be the first nod to Supernatural that the show has done.
