But we know, Daichi can just leave a Shadow Clone in the village, (or more than one if needed, they won't dispel easily) and go with the search team while mana cloaked. Tsunade's and Shizune's lives are vastly more important than his "duty/loyalty" to Konoha, or Hiruzen's authority. Consequences be damned. :) Plus in the shinobi world results matter. Daichi gets results.

2023-09-08 10:51:26 +0000 UTCDaichi doing interrogations reminds me of a scene from doctor who, there is an episode called The Family of Blood where the enemies in the episode wanted to become immortal by stealing the regeneration energy from the doctor. At the end of it when they are beaten the Doctor imprisons them all in all sorts of unique and pretty cruel ways to be honest. He chained one of them up in unbreakable chains, making him immortal as long as the chains remained unbroken. He dropped another into an event horizon of a collapsing galaxy where she got trapped forever. He imprisoned one in the reflection of every mirror meaning as long as reflections exist she will remain alive. He froze the last one in time and made him into a scarecrow to watch over the fields for the rest of time. The final line of them talking about it is “We wanted to live forever, so The Doctor made sure we did.” Daichi’s threats whilst interrogating people remind me of that. It also made me think that Daichi could do that to Orochimaru somehow.
