March (2023) reward for patreon Jasmine!
Feat. their DnD Giff character Sully the barbarian!
1- Early rough sketch: The earliest sketch was a very simple doodle to figure out what I wanted to properly make in the later stages, from posing to details. It's more goofy than serious clearly.
2- 2nd rough sketch: The 2nd sketch was mostly a test wanting to get a more "perspective" or "dynamic" feeling to the drawing, which I feel was mostly good but ended up scrapping for a more reference-like approach.
3- Sketch: The final sketch was much, MUCH better in terms of proportions and style, the character looked more like the references and I had a better idea of what I was going to do for the clothes.
4- Lineart: Then in the lineart phase I included all the remaining details and changes as needed.
5- Lineart fixes: After a small revision, I changed some things and added some other details I felt were needed.
6- Flat colors: With the lineart done, I just proceeded to test the colors I would need for the character based on the description I was given (I had to come up with a proper palette) until I got a set of colors that werent too vibrant but also in sync with the vision of the patreon.
7- Final touches: Last but not least I went on and added a few scars here and there, as well as the tattoos and other things!
