Added 2023-04-04 00:15:05 +0000 UTCOne day I felt particularly in a goatmom mood (more than the usual) so I decided to sit down and spend a good while making an actual high quality piece of my favorite character <3
It felt really nice to stop for a bit and just draw something really good for myself ^^
- 1- Early base sketch: The very first sketch played around with the posing and the perspective from the beginning, after a lot of tweaks I got a somewhat good posing going.
- 2- Swimsuit Sketch: A discarded alt I was going to make but never did due to time constraints, basically just an alternate outfit featuring a one piece swimsuit (and possibly having a background in the beach)
- 3- Tweaked sketch: I changed a couple things on the arms, and also considered changing the face to a different one, but decided to keep it as is for the final sketch.
- 4- Robes/Fire sketch: Added the robes in a different layers and a little fire effect on the hand.
- 5- Final sketch: Erased the overlapping parts.
- 6- Flat colors (Char): I proceed with the lineless flat colors which will be the base of the picture for the character.
- 7- Flat colors (Bg): In tandem with the character, I start working on the background as well, adding the flat colors.
- 8- Details (Bg): With a couple extra tones, I add the details neded to all the objects in the scene.
- 9- Shading (Bg): Then I add some extra colors and shading to them all to finalize the bg.
- 10- Details (Char): The more needed shading is added to the character to help distinguish all the features properly.
- 11- Shading (Char): Further highlighs and deeper shadows are added too.
- 12- Floor Shadow: Put both character and bg together, and add a simple shadow below Toriel's feet
- 13- Lighting effects: Last but not least I add some color correction and a couple effects here and there!
