[Reward | WIP] Ether The Cosmic Cat

May's reward for Patreon Tibscove!

This time, Tibs decided to return the gesture and give their slot to Ether as thanks! Between some back and forth we decided to take a shot at drawing Ether (Character's name), the intergalactic Cat OC, since she has a beautiful design!

Also, this drawing was drawn LIVE! on my Twitch account, be sure to follow me there to tune in and see me drawing these in real time!

1- Base sketch: The very 1st sketch got pretty much everything right, especially for the pose which I wanted to be very stylish and dynamic! and to make things even better I got this result pretty fast!
2- Sketch tweaks: After looking at the references I realized the legs were not supposed to look humanoid/Anthro, so I fixed that!.
3- Extra sketch: Now I add a second layer with a sketch showcasing some extra effects I want to get in, like light flares and such!
4- Improv Bg: (This is not part of the final drawing) As an added bonus, I quickly sketched out a simple space background to go with the theme of the character!
5- Extra design: And lastly I included some simple effects to make her look kinda sorta spectral, just a little idea I did during the livestream I did.
6- Lineart base: With the sketch done, I now move on to the clean lineart adding all the little fur effects.
7- Flat colors base: Then I fill in all the lines with the basic color palette
8- Lineart effect: In parallel, I work on the magical effects which are from this character, starting with the clean lines!
9- Gradients: Every color gets a gradient to enhance the color range!
10- Shading: Then I add shadows and highlights using the wings as the main source of light!
11- Visual effects: Now I add some exra color correction, a lot of glow and extra shadows!
12- Final touches: Last but not least I add some extra contrast to finish up the picture!
