Once again, they were kind enough to let Leaf pick the reward this time, so here we got one of their OCs, Riley, posing in some very suggestive clothing.
PS: Stockings are awesome
Steps:
- 1- Early sketches: I did a pretty good job getting the pose done right on the 1st try, however I had second thoughts about the lil details so I made several versions and showed them to Leaf to see which one they liked best.
- 2- Final sketch: After deciding what to go for (a mixture of the sketches earlier shown) I added another sketch adding the clothing.
- 3- Lineart: With everything set and done I moved on to clean lineart, adding the fur effects and the details like the clothes being tight on the body
- 4- Flat colors: Now I fill all the lines with the proper colors needed for the design, we went for a stripped pattern on the stockings and underwear.
- 5- Color correction: On second thought, we ended changing the colors of the stockings to black and red, which are the colors of the scarf this guy likes to wear.
- 6- Gradients: Now add a simple light and dak gradient to every color section to improve it a little bit
- 7- Shading: Now I add the shadows and highlights with several colored layers in different layer settings
- 8- Lighting effects: Now to add some glow and light refraction effects + some color corrections to both the shadows and highlights + lineart
- 9- Environmental shadows: Last but not least I add the environmental shadows on the floor and air.
