Feat. Their OCs Colossa (biggest girl) and Ari (smallest boi) and another character from a friend called Mori (medium sized dragon)
Both of these guys are really messing with poor Ari over there, is he going to be okay...?
Yeah he will.
Steps:
- 1- Sketch 1: Original 1st sketch done showcasing all 3 characters as best as possible, the trickiest part was definitely getting the size differences done right based on the specifications I was given. (Yep, Colossa is MASSIVE I know. but that's a good thing!)
- 2- Lineart: Now to the lineart, this step shows the original basic lineart I made for the characters, however we soon came to realize Colossa was hiding most of the scene with her body so we had to go for a different strategy.
- 3- Lineart Colossa: I redrew colossas llineart separate from Mori and Ari
- 4- Lineart Mori: Did the same for Mori
- 5- Lineart Ari: And the same for Ari
- 6- Final lineart: Now every character has their own layer, colossa being the frontal one, mori the middle one, and Ari the bottom one. Each of these characters will be colored separately as well, and if you couldn't tell what I'm going for here. It's going to feature some transparency / xray effects for you to see who's behind who! Especially for Ari since he gets blocked a lot from our vision.
- 7- Flat colors: After the lines are done, I straight up colored every character on their own layers.
- 8- Gradients: Then I Added some light and dark gradients to each corresponding color.
- 9- Shading: After that, I add layered shadows and hightlights.
- 10- See-through effect: With a mask setting, I make each character transparent enough to see who's behind who
- 11- Lighting effects: Finally, I add some Visual effects and color correction to finish the comm!
