[High-Res Art | WIP] The strongest monster Steprocess

These were all the steps taken to create the lastest paiting featuring Soriel!

1- Character draft: The drawing started out as a rough sketch of Soriel done without having a sketch phase 1st, so this part was basically just painting a white blob and shaping it until it looked like a humanoid, then spent some extra kinks until it looked decent!
2- Main bg: Later on I painted the dark setting at the background, all in one layer, that color was meant for the character to stand out even more, and is also the base to start working on the proper bg.
3- Main lightning: Later on I paint a strong contrasting shadow through out all her body using one color (I did this fast so I only used one color) as well as a hightlighting blue color to make it look illuminated from the back.
4- Flame bg: Then I quickly painted a blue like flame right behind the char.
5- Extra shadows eye light: I made the contrast stronger by adding another layered shadow within the shadow, and also added the shining light from the sans-eye, to make it look cooler
6- Flames bg: I improve the bg further by adding even more flames around her, and another effect on the eye light too!
7- Extra effects: Finally I add some glow effects here and there + some color correction and that's it!

Keep in mind I made all of this as fast as possible (1h 45 mins) since I wanted to draw something for myself and also practice digital painting which is something I want to get better at.
