Interestingly, I too found Wu Xie's love for his country's relics odd at first, but when you learn how people stole and sold off the pieces of his country's history, it really brings a lot to light. Chinese artifacts are beautiful pieces of their country, and people tend to buy them as decorations when they are sometimes the key to finding out things from the past. I'm American like you, so we don't really care about ancient artifacts or symbols of our past like China does, but I think we should learn to. After all, they are part of our country no matter how insignificant they seem. Also, the emo guy is Xiaoge from Ultimate note. He's the one that has the sword and will always be by Wu Xie's side in times of danger.

2025-05-25 21:48:57 +0000 UTCAs Sajay said, the cast in this show is completely different than the cast in Ultimate note, every show has a new cast give or take (a few actors played the same characters in more than one show) that plays the same characters (the shows sometimes also overlap in the storylines they cover from the books, but they tell them in different ways mostly). I have a literal ranking for each character for which iteration I like most (Xiaoge has 2. One is which actor portrays him the best and the other is which actor does the best fight scenes.... Xiaoge is also my favorite character in EVERY version). Xiaoge is also one of my favorite characters in media in general (and that goes to every version of him). You'll be happy to know that almost every series has AT LEAST one shirtless Xiaoge scene in it, often more then one.
