🌇 ForRent Update: Broken Face Fixes ISSUE: SOLVED!

It took a while, as in my whole night, but I was able to figure out what was causing the glitches and distortion in my presets and sliders from Dec patch.

UPDATE: 3/22/2024 - FINALLY A FIX FOR EYELASHES ISSUE! A creator finally created a version that works in my game. hopefully it works for you. @Ir_7770 MADE A NEW NO LASHES MOD FOR ALL SIMS!

UPDATE: 2/5/2024 - THIS FACE GLITCH IS STILL HAPPENING! in many people's game!

reports have been made that glitch affects sims with these CC files, outside of the basegame glitch: IF YOU USE THESE REMOVE THEM & TEST YOUR GAME FOR THE GLITCH AGAIN

•More CAS Presets V2 - Zerbu

•No EA eyelashes - Cien

•No EA eyelashes Kijiko

•Escaping Potplant (search: epp-noEAeyelashesUPDATE)

•various broken teeth and CC default skins that include Toddlers are causing this glitch also

this problem has been discussed on EA forums since December with little to no support on the matter. THREAD 1 | THREAD 2 | MOST players have been helping themselves figure it out. 

Apparently the reason why people are having facial melty issues with toddlers is because of toddlers getting EA lashes patched in! I also heard Aliens got patched in for lashes also.

some people have found fixes as this is the same face glitch from Growing Together AND Horse Ranch. 

A fix I found from reddit is this: SOURCE  

I found a fix! If your Sim has the messed up nose & ear, just click on the ears and choose a new ear preset and the glitch disappears. You can go back to the original ear preset you had (but not by clicking undo) and it stays fixed. For the messed up eyes, choose a new head shape preset. Again, you can go back to the original preset and then edit it to look as close to your original Sim as possible. Hope this helps!

-DISABLE YOUR AUTO UPDATE-

As mentioned in this post here, recent update on 18th of April broke the sims' faces. Apparently, this is not a custom slider or any sort of cc issue. This issue is due to Sims 4's base game slider issue (which you see in CAS, next to your sims'. You see two sliders, right? Muscle and Body Fat. Those ones).

Well known modders like CMAR and Littledica are talking about how sliders and DMaps are working on the Bug-Report thread. And they seem to be confident that once they revert/fix the coding on Sliders and the DMap, no sim should be affected because of this.

Meaning, if this happened to your 2020, 2021, 2022 or 2023 sims, they will all be reverted instantly. This is relieving to hear, honestly.

But on the other hand, we are talking about EA. We don't know how long it will take them to fix this. A week, an hour.. It's unpredictable.

If you haven't updated your game, please keep it this way for the time being. Stay safe and good luck ♥

If there is an update in the future for toddlers then they will be added back to the mods. for now they have been removed due to them breaking my CAS mods , but be sure to pick up updated mods that have a EA lash fix for toddlers + aliens for face and eye glitches - Y.
